Re: Timing the cycle
Just a quick calculator I built for myself to visualize the different pay increases compared to Porter and WestJet (in this case)
Even with a 40% increase, Porter will beat us in year 2 and 3 (all else being equal).

$52.51 * 75 hours per month + $850 (MOA4) = $4788.25
$57459 per year. Estimated take home around $40,000 /year.

Re: 2 CREW restricted CAT 1 Medical
I had a 2 Crew restriction years ago.
I wasn't applying for jobs at the time, but it wasn't an issue for me. I was already flying 705 machines though.
I don't have the restriction anymore, so keep the faith. It can come off.

Here we are. A pivotal moment is before the Jazz pilots to send a strong and decisive message, not only to Management, but to your industry peers. Ultimately we’re all in this together. The outcome of this vote WILL be used to open upcoming negotiations across the industry. Don’t think for a second ...

Leduc Townhouse for sale (or rent)
I'm trying to sell my townhouse in Leduc. If anyone knows commuters or newly based YEG pilots (especially after the recent WJ bid), please share. I'd like to sell it, but if anyone is also looking to rent... I'd consider it. 8 minutes from the airport. https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/25738480/183...

There's a lot of interest in ongoing negotiations.
Unfortunately, this interest in negotiations doesn't mean diddly squat.

Re: Calm Air Pay
The silence and lack of details around what was voted on is not reassuring. Huge opportunity missed for the pilot industry. I just picture Manager John Schneider looking at the lineup in the dugout. Flair. Porter. Sunwing. Calm Air. Keewatin. Pasco. AirSprint. All walked up and batted. Hit singles a...

I tore my ACL back in 2006. I didn't get surgery until Christmas 2014 (too busy flying). I was off for a couple months while it healed, but was back in the cockpit shortly after.
