Cry more you sore old fart.

ACPA is dead. It's been dead for at least 10 years. The sooner we move on and look forward with ALPA the better. We are not Jazz, we are not WestJet.

Re: ground schools canceled

I wonder how many applications WJ and AC have gotten from Flair pilots in the last few days.

Re: So much for growth

The thing about lessors is when you stop paying them they take their aircraft back and then you aren't flying anymore. All our aircraft in our fleet are operating when they haven't been hit by ground service equipment  and we already have the first 3 additional spring aircraft on the property...

Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA

If only as someone in my late 20's without the 10 years of "relative experience" and thousands of hours to apply for and get an EB-2 had an easier avenue to the USA. I'd be gone tomorrow.

Unfortunatley leaving my wife is not an option....

Re: ALPA Petition

It's from Delta's MEC I believe. Why would it be from Delta MEC and nothing from ALPA or ACPA? Am I missing something ?(Disclaimer: just woke up and haven't had my coffee yet) What are you talking about? It was announced yesterday or the day before that there's an AIP. Maybe check that you're set u...

Re: New hire bids

When do new hires get posted to the seniority list? Is it as soon as possible, or once they get their line check done? Would someone that got his plane 3 days ago show up on the March seniority list? There is no such thing as a "March" seniority list. The seniority list only gets updated once every...

Re: Flair Airlines - Planes seized

I'm not sure what the Flair CEO is doing by still talking about this. Now Airborne Capital is forced to make their own press release to defend themselves. You'd think that Flair would want this out of the news as soon as possible. Jones has no choice to try and minimize it, it would be a snowball e...

Re: Is Westjet playing dirty?

If you were looking to lease aircraft as a start up airline, would you do business with a relatively new entrant to the aircraft leasing market knowing this is how they would treat you? Airborne or whatever the hedge fund is calling themselves have just sent a pretty clear message what they are goi...

Re: C of R Cancellation (3 Tails)

All airlines have spares sitting around. You’d be crazy not to have a spare aircraft on a regular day of work. I don’t think these spares were sitting for weeks or months not being utilized. Just part of the rotation. Now flair doesn’t have spares, or very few of them left. "The Edmonton-based disc...

Re: C of R Cancellation (3 Tails)

So, the "story" is "they" (unnamed but alluded to) pushed the leasing companies to repossess the planes so they could get them at a higher rate? But the C of R has been cancelled. But wait...we have $150M in aircraft sitting around as spares even though we are only 1M overdrawn? If you're an employ...

Re: 4 Flair aircraft seized

I'm trying to understand how the Flair CEO is blaming everyone but ignoring their own incompetence in paying bills on time? If you have a sweetheart COVID lease deal on some nice 737s, you should ensure they are paid on time or early. Every month. Regardless whether it's "not industry standard" to r...

Re: YVR 220 base

The plan was for the A220 to be in YVR for Spring 2023. Right from the mouth of MS to my PIT class. That said this was before Covid so who knows if that timeline is still accurate. So long term, yes I imagine we will see the A220 out west. I imagine the Jazz staffing issues may have an effect on the...
