Re: Narrowbody Preference: EMJ vs A320
I have been on blithe types in the right seat. Now in the left seat of EMJ. I think the EMJ sked is great flying max hours in only 15 days not 16 like you would on the bus. The EMJ is a great machine fun to fly but you do raise and lower the gear more than other fleets but you also have less sitting...

Re: CRA Rules and Airline Benefits
Well I have lots of old cooper helmets from playing hockey that I think I need to send to Ottawa! But the good news is if your airline gives you a 20-25% off full fare then has a 25% off sale they can't tax you. Here's to killing the middle class and taking money out of retail employees. It's as goo...

Lol Airmail didn't take too long for a troll. But to answer your question. The time to become a skipper of a 777 for a well deserving person such as yourself here is the breakdown 15 min to exit your parents basement and get into to your car 10 min to drive to local bestbuy 15 min in store to buy ne...

Lazyeight I'm disappointed that you are wishing for the c series will go to express. Everyone got upset that sky was awarded the e 175 and GGN got the CRJ because they were brining down industry standard and pay. Please I ask you to sit back and think do I really want to bring down pay and lifestyle...

Re: "WOW" Icelandic LCC
ok zero wind numbers are good. I have checked my books I could be wrong which hey I am lots. But I think we will find these flights will be load restricted or need enroute stops. Because when you get a strong head wind going west or bad WX and you need a long alternate then it dosent have the same o...

Re: "WOW" Icelandic LCC
I know everyone is excited about cheapo fares. They will be using an Airbus 321 the plane that Jacque forgot to add a few feet to the wings! I would be shocked if they can fit 180 peeps plus fuel and bags going to Iceland from Toronto and not be load limited. For the people who will say well it's a ...

I think everyone needs to step back and let the investigation run its course because a lot of what is being said on this forum is speculation and very much incorrect. We all have to be gl...

Re: Results of investigation into the A319 at Palermo
Ahramin do you flying an Airbus? Because your statement about the aircraft flying it to the threshold is totally incorrect. Yes the aircraft can do it mostly on automation but if it's a non precision approach the autopilot would have to be disconnected much earlier.

Re: Porter selling off it's Terminal
I Guess flying Q400s around that are starting to age ( which I'm sure very expensive heavy checks are going to be due) with loads that aren't that great and selling most tickets at 30 % off while taking out full page adds in major national newspapers plus saving money to expand a runway. Hmmm I gues...

Re: C-FNET C172S Investigation Report
One thing they did mention in the recommendation was decrease inspection times on the stall warning systems of c-172. TSB it was a problem but didn't give solutions just have pilot read more about stalls and introduce more on normal and utility category. TSB failed to do there job and just gave a sm...

Re: Porter/Bombardier set to announce CS100 order . . .
Me thinks that they will have to extend the runway to at least 6000 - 7000 feet. In winter time I know enough about flying a jet that if you land on a runway with 1/8 inch of snow and landing distance is 4000 feet you are going to need at least 6000 ft. So not just porter but anyone who wants to ope...

Hey Brooks
A lot of Georgian guys come from the north and out west and can fly approaches as good as the CMA guys. We are all pilots and our main goal is to get from A to B without killing anyone I know Georgian will do a great and safe job with these routes.

Capital for this airline wont be a problem. Get all the pilots to pay the company for the 737 type rating use that money to buy or lease the aircraft. The flying public will finally be happy they will be able to go for CYVR to YYZ for $1 each way. Oh wait! this type of airline has already come and g...

Good old Air France Blaming someone else. CO fault for the Concord, YYZ faults for not having a long enough runway, I would like to see what their excuse is for the last crash. They will probibly blame airbus becuase the autopilot flew into a thunderstorm. It would be nice for them to take responsib...
