Did he clear the snag after?

I would be intersested to know what he wrote.

Re: Airline Pilot Rejects TSA

Im just curious if anyone can find all of the actual regulations that CATSA must follow. I can find the act but not the regs. It would be nice to know what rules we actually have to follow and the power of the CATSA employee. ie.....does CATSA actually have the authority to take your RAIC even thoug...

Yes it's true! Thomas Cook will be the wet lease company. I hear it's probably going to be one of the Jazz machines and crew doing it.

Don't get me wrong I'm no expert but I don't think that is the correct payscale...............what's that smell...............Troll?????????? What is bottom to top scale? You may start somewhere in there but once you take a good look at how you get paid.....you should see much more before retirement...

So what happens if these 757's don't materialize? Or they are not required long term? Are you all going to happily take your pay cuts?

Re: Q400 question

Some quick math for ya. 35 FO's that should have been making around 100k = around $2000/ year pay increase for the other 900 FO's it sounds like you guys got a lot more than that as a pay rise. Was it because you were already being underpaid? and now your not? except for the guys on the 57 that are ...

Re: Q400 question

I totally agree with you Teacher, stability is what status pay does afford.....but at what cost? I'll tell you what, the lowest paid 757 drivers in the WORLD. Not everyone is going to understand status pay. Other organizations can now point to you and say "Look at what these guys are doing it for!"....

Re: Q400 question

Teacher, I'm not arguing against status pay. At some organizations it works very well. At others not so much.

I know I'm stirring the pot but seriously do you really think status pay works in a mainly regional focused organization.

Re: Q400 question

I'm glad that you are happy with your new status pay.

I personally think that 50K a year at a regional airline like jazz is a reasonable salary for an FO ON A DASH 8 not on a 757. Status pay only brought you up to what you should have been getting paid before.

IMHO

No doubt! Imagine the ridiculous line just to get her autograph she never would have made the flight. Good on the cop for getting her through faster. Next time she should travel via chartered jet (ill fly her around anywhere anytime ;) )

CATSA Rant - commuting with liquids

So commuting crew members in uniform are no longer allowed to carry anything over 100mls. This is just plain stupid I would love for them to come on the road for a week with only little bottles of everything! Why are they trying to piss me off so much!

In the states with quick donning masks if there is only one pilot at the controls above Fl350 the pilot must wear his mask. Part 91.211
