Well, It could always be worse, you could be hired with a current 200 rating by Airbone and still be asked to sign a 14K bond for recurrent training just cause its, "how we do things".

I asked an A330 Captain a while ago about this I had noticed departing Dar Es Salaam some time ago. His answer was that they sometimes leave them down a little longer due to brake temperatures and using the airflow to cool them down.

Who is in this gang of yahoos and do you know them? :smt040 The jet time is still jet time, that can't be bad. I can count two people I know who left an RJ for WJ. The jet time would be perfect for me cause it is a foot in for the EK end EY requirements. If Val dropped the pay up front I wonder what...

Re: Flying in Africa / Voyageur Airways

So what you're saying is that if you're furloughed and the time on your bond is not up yet, that if you go somewhere else, you lose the money? That is LAME!!! That is not what I said. I was interviewd by them a while back and they mentioned the bond. The lady from HR said VAL will live up to their ...

Re: Northern Greenland Airports

Buffalo Airways went there two and a half years ago to fetch a down CHL 206. Maybe call around there and ask if they have any tips. Jim Meritt was one of the captains. Although they did it in a DC4 but still worth a shot.

Why must we leave it on until the Fuel Boost pump Annunciator flashes? Maybe this is just a few companies I see doing it or not I dunno. But, We are asked to do it. Some people say it is to fill the EPA can with the residual fuel inside, some say it is to fill the pressure in the lines when you put ...

Im not saying it is right what VAL does, at...
