Its typical for the process to take 1 year or more from the date of initial application to receiving an offer. Lots of people post their timeline on this forum, it might give you an idea of what to expect.

From what I've been told on the phone, the fall 2023 and winter 2024 classes were already filled up before we got the results in june. They are looking to open up an extra class in winter, but its still a maybe, so they're holding on the offers until its confirmed.

I just got the call to be standby for the VFR class in Ottawa this autumn. To say I'm excited is an understatement!

I'm waiting for a call as well. I got marked eligible for offer 2 days ago. I told them my preference was VFR>IFR>FSS. Maybe they only started to call IFR candidates?

Does NavCanada allow you to join training while your certification is on going? If yes, until what point during the training they would need the certificate? I've had my in-person assessment earlier this month and they told me they require your certificate before training can start. This was in YUL...
