Possibly followed the "wrong" set taxiway centreline lights and half the aircraft ran off the taxiway into the grass....

Re: 407 Landing?

Initial info the TSB gave to the media tonight: - the pilot is experienced with lots of night flying - the plane had plenty of fuel in the tanks upon landing on the 407 You can read into the last statement. Obviously couldn't confirm carb ice or pump failure at this point in time. Pilot did an amazi...

I think here's how they got it, but the police have not released the identities yet. C-GGMG comes back to Richard Lawrence, and googling the address listed returns to Lawrence Asset Management, http://www.lawrenceasset.com. Re: Plane crash near Lake Muskoka

Unconfirmed registration is C-GGMG. Police confirm it's a Cessna 206 on floats which matches the registration. Aircraft crashed right in the middle of three cottages, less than 100m from each one.

You should have gotten life insurance BEFORE you started flying. I know it doesn't help you now. I got mine a few years before, I clearly remember the question was to the lines of, "are you or do you have any intentions of becoming an aircraft pilot." Just like the line that reads "have you, or do y...

Re: Greenbank Ontario Fatal Crash

Looks like its a couple hundred feet beside rwy 16/34 in a farmer's field. So technically it's not "really" at the airport. But still. A few people who flew over it said there's nothing left of the aircraft, except for charred remains.

Re: Flt Duty XLS.... FOR MAC

try downloading the trial version of Crossover and see if it works... It's hit and miss, but at least you don't need to install windows. I wouldn't suggest CrossOver for anyone but computer-savvy pilots. I'm a beta tester on CrossOver, and while many Windows apps DO work, most are a little wonky. A...

Has anyone used Flight Wizard 4? Just wondering how well other pilots find it. It has Canadian-oriented preflight planning and moving map capability. Because it's marketable, and gullible consumers will buy it. People will buy anything. "Clean" power cables and $100 video cables for their home theatres. Same thing.
