Re: Reducing Insurance Coverage/Premiums for Private Aircraft

Same thing with motorcycles, snowmobiles, classic cars etc. Gotta pay the full year for something that doesn’t get used all year. I ditched my in-motion hull insurance years ago and now pay about $450/year for basic liability and hull not in motion. I figure I save over $1000 bucks a year.

Re: Moderna Vaccine shows 94.5% effectiveness

Doug Ford said don’t panic buy in preparation for lockdown... and he had to repeat it, you know as in wink wink... now the stores are packed and physical distancing is out the window. This vaccine can’t come soon enough! Good luck to Toronto and Peel starting Monday! And apparently I’m the propagan...

Fines issued to protestors. GOOD.

Should lose their provincial health cards too.
Equivalent to a lifetime flight ban for not obeying the rules.
Spoken like a true communist.

Re: Pfizer Covid Vaccine shows 90% effectiveness.

It’s amazing the amount of fear many here swallowed hook line and sinker. If you want to stay home and cower in fear, feel free. Let the others live their lives. People have totally lost all sense of reality that cold/flu/pneumonia have killed thousands every year and we somehow went about our lives...

I don’t think Jazz even did any revenue Q400 freighter flights period. If we did it was only a handful.

It’s rather sad though. Someone who is nearly 50 and has bounced from company to company to company and living in a van, employed at a company that could be gone next week. I don’t know what possessed someone to want to be featured in such an article.

Not very busy at all. Slightly busier than a movie theatre or a Mandarin buffet restaurant but not by much. I agree, bring food or you’ll have to settle for Tim Hortons garbage and possibly miss your flight while waiting in line there. 8)

Re: Pfizer Covid Vaccine shows 90% effectiveness.

My guess was if Biden won, the pandemic would be over within 4-6 weeks of inauguration. Not that I think covid is a hoax, but it certainly is very political. I think the Chinese wanted Trump gone yesterday because he stands up to them. Very suspicious they released this virus during an election yea...

Re: New Protest to Save Canadian Aviation

I think the 14 day quarantine isn’t going away anytime soon. Later this month customs is requiring every passenger and crew member to use the ArrivCan app before departing for Canada. Once in Canada, non-exempt individuals must use the app to check-in with the government daily to ensure they are in...

Re: The Return to Normal?

Suicide and substance abuse deaths are way up this year. They don’t ever seem to mention that much in the news. People aren’t getting medical check ups anymore. I tried to schedule a general check up last week and they said they aren’t doing any. Doctors are finding folks with late stage cancer that...

Re: Chorus to be sold ?

Well let’s not get too carried away yet. We don’t know who it is or even if it will go through at all. If it were AC, I’d be happy if the lists were to remain separate though. I chose to stay at Jazz and have no desire to “fly the big planes” someday.

Who knows could even be the Government of Canada :smt017 Why would the government buy an airline that doesn't even fly it's own routes? Or own half the planes they fly? AC most likely.
