Re: MPIC time or move on? What's next?

People seem to be assuming that Jazz won't be laying off at the next recession. I bet the bottom chunk of the Jazz seniority list will be begging for a Navajo FO job. I think in the next major recession if one one company lays off so would the other. AC won't fly half empty planes to YQT or YFC etc...

I’d be amazed if you guys get more than 2%. I hope you do but no one north of the border is getting big wage increases these days. 2% is all we got at Jazz.... till 2035.

Hate to break it to you but you don’t get paid much after you’re hired either.

Reminds me of when we used to have cats climb up in the warm engine compartments of vehicles at the farm. Usually doesn’t end well when you start the engine. 8)

Re: Toilets near to Ramp for employees

Looks like there’s a wacky AME in YHZ. The arbitrator concluded that the employer, an aerospace firm operating hangars at the Halifax airport, had just cause to terminate the employee because his colleagues could hear what he was doing, and it caused “embarrassment and distress” in the wo...

I view it as I don't have to change more than 0-3 time zones in a pairing. Usually 0. I can bid to be home every night. I'm not flying 12 hours at FL390 which isn't good for you. I do layovers mostly in Canada. I enjoy flying and average 12-14 flights on a pairing. Not 1 with autoland.

Even if you decide to stay at Jazz it's a pretty good gig after you get through the first few years. Decent pay. Great perdiems and benefits.

I think the YYZ employee parking garage is more dangerous with all the mindless idiots driving through there Tokyo Drift style. Seriously though.... The fuel company changed names about 5 years ago and basically fired anyone who didn't want to keep working for $14/hour so this is the result. Room te...

Holy crap, watching that happen from the skipper’s seat must have been terrifying. (Pic #3) I saw pics of the inside. The CB panel and the steering tiller area is smashed pretty badly. They are lucky, it could have been much worse. Only a thin skin of aluminum and some wires between them and the fu...

I had a guy pick up his phone while pushing my plane back once. These companies want to pay minimum wage: They get minimum wage quality.

Sweet Jesus, How in the world do you collide with the front of the aircraft, swing around missing the prop and wing and hit the tail. The one picture makes it look like the truck hit the plane, backed up around the plane and went to far and struck it again.... Hope the crew is doing well, based on ...

It ain't gonna change any time soon folks. Sure they could up the pay to be nice but why would they? If they cut pa...

Also although you don't actually move up on the list, there are many on long term disability due to an aging workforce. Some have been off for 20+ years and although are on the list, will never come back to the line.

Sunwing. If you go to WJ you might get “Swooped”. Plus you’ll get perpetually bumped down the list by the Encore folks. I don’t know what the time to a left seat at WJ would be but I bet it’s a very long time.

It will be back when Boeing has a proven fix to stop them from nosediving into the ground.
