Re: AR program Did I read that right?
Do you know how many baby boomers are bankrupt? Who have got nothing? Who have borrowed every dollar in their home? They're 70 and don't have a job, or options, and don't have a pension. They could live another 20 years and they don't have the money to pay for their housing or even buy food. The ba...

Is it still mostly day or night turns (single day pairings)?

Didn’t look like either engine was producing power from the photos. No bent blades.

First time it worked in 3 days for me. Probably ancient forum software that hasn’t been updated in years.

I’d say the brakes were partially on. The reduced friction of the dry ground probably let it get airborne.

Re: New hire bids
So how many in September ground school? Only 4 NH spots on the RJ for September….target was 25 per month going forward….how many were actually hired? We’re losing more than we hire lately…unsustainable. Probably trying to staff the Q400 since all the focus seems to be on the YTZ operation, hence th...

It’s like they’re trying to sabotage the operation. Morale cant get any lower.
Rather bold of them to ask for concessions while pairing quality is at an all time low (before you get reassigned 5x by screw sked) and fatigue and book offs are at an all time high.

Apparently they want to further reduce the Jazz-AC flow from what it is now.

What’s the big deal? There’s thousands of truck drivers with fake AZ licences in the GTA and they’re perfectly safe on our roads. It’s no different.

Re: Misc Questions
Anyone notice how porter likes to play a lot of inflight announcements, even in the middle of the night. Why is that? They even make an announcement every time the seatbelt sign comes on. That’s an SOP at many airlines. Covers their ass in case someone is injured in turbulence because most don’t li...

Boomers were born between 1945 and 1965. Their desire for a new C8 Corvette or boat is far more important than your pesky career progression.

I find most of the “influencers” are from a certain demographic that coincidently is the lousiest skilled pilots that I have worked with.

I don’t care for Doug Ford much. Especially how he handled the scamdemic or his drama queen TDS episodes. He’s a liberal in a blue suit but he’s the least of all evils when you compare him to the commie NDP or the liberal ladies….Bonnie Crosbie or Kathleen Wynne?

Re: YYZ initial base bid
If they still get applicants willing to play “mystery base” on day 1 of groundschool then it will continue status quo. Most new hires are still young low experience candidates who tend to not be tied down with mortgages and families which is also the problem since Jazz needs experience for the left ...

Re: Remove AR, reduce upgrade time?
At Jazz it’s not so bad since there’s a limited number of positions overall and no jet flying for them in the east.
It will get interesting if there’s layoffs with the fuel price shitshow. Will a boomer retire or let a new hire get laid off? I think I know the answer to that.

Pretty sad, 2 of my colleagues bodies haven’t even been returned to their families yet and the perpetual butt-hurt language politics is the top story now.

I can’t imagine being told to groom the aircraft between flights. It’s a minimum wage job for simpletons, not airline pilots.

It’s also best to drive an EV to the interview and have a Pepsi in the cup holder to show you are a true Quebecois. Bonus points if you’re pants are extra tight.

Re: How long is Transport Canada processing time for Class 1 medical
I have been jumping through hoops since June 2025. When i questioned what's going on with my medical i received a registered letter 2 weeks later. First letter was 7 items. I am now at 12 items. Last was submitted over 2 weeks ago. Still no word. My Doctor has spoke to them at least 3 times. She ca...
