Re: Accept this job offer?
Always accept the job at hand. At least you're building time toward your next job, if you're not happy where you go. This is a small industry, turning down a job can get you dubbed 'picky', and you might not get a call from your next resume. It's a tough reality, but it's just that, a reality. 20 y...

The first time I was asked that, this was basically my response:

I get better at answering it over time.

The crews had a pretty good deal going at Kelowna and I am guessing it will be hard to for them to see how much the industry has deteriorated in the last few years. Hope everyone finds their way.

As stated above by someone earlier about real shear, perhaps it's more the absence of any "normal" shear sensations, such that the smoother entry into an active surface inversion doesn't mean it's not a significant contribution to the rapid airspeed loss. I'd call the NTSB. http://cdn.meme.am/insta...

What are you, NEW?
They don't leave your outbox until the person you send them to receives/opens them.
It's a bit misleading how they label that as outbox, it's not like your email, it has indeed sent.

Guys/Gals, I received a reply after submitting an application from a small regional carrier asking for a copy of my pilot license. Nothing else was in the reply. Is this a normal sequence of an application process for pilot position ? Could be a scam. Definitely call them, that is peculiar. Use the...

It's a gong show, I think I remember ripping my hair out on that one quite a while back. If it looks all jumbled, it probably is and nothing gets reformatted. Do your best to make it look better. My best guess is that if you can make sure your experience is well visible, you'll get a call for an int...

I would have to say the sexiest part of aviation...is looking at myself in the mirror as I leave the house to work. This guy nailed it. I truly am what is sexy about aviation; that, and I get to wear pretty much whatever I want underneath my uniform. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view3/2082183/barney-...

In summary, he advocates fair pay and a decent quality of life for crews. There are exceptions to be pointed out in a lot of his views (I am sure that will unfold in the coming replies), but his overall reasoning is sound. Yes the airline environment is great for SOP, overall experience and professi...

The mistake was actually that they have seven airplanes and want one pilot to fly all of them. Your time off is when the power goes out and your cell phone battery dies.

How upset are you going to be when I tell you I sent a resume in and offered to buy the PPC since it was part of their requirement? This industry rewards those who go the extra mile.
