Re: Pix From a Swamper - Remembering Craig Chenell

[/attachment] Hey everyone, I thought I'd share a few of my photos with y'all from this past summer. I really like the picture Peace Arm. I flew there for many years, until I moved to the coast. Is the bay the Clearwater? I could tell you some great stories about that place, As well as Bear Valley. ...

Re: My New Earphones

Yes, I fly a Beaver. They work very well in flight and take off. I hear no noise from outside, and the window is noisy without them. The engine is just a nice rumble and the firing strokes can be heard more clearly. Just keep in mind, it depends on how well you insert the ear buds in your ears. On a...

Re: TC Aviation Enforcements in COPA

Here is my 2 bitches about the new license. 1 there are places to stamp for 52 medicals. That's good for ten medicals a year and 2 left over for the 5 years life of the book. 2 There are no pages reserved for your company documentations. So you still need to pack a folder of some kind for company ca...

Re: C-206 baron stol kit

Caused by the change in airflow over the tail. Its not a Baron Stoll kit but one designed in the 70's in the States. I bought a 206 in 1977 and had it installed. The ailerons extent to 12 degrees, leading edge cuffs and wing fences added. It lowers the indicated stall speed to below the ASI lowest i...

Re: Chisel Charters?

Let me get this straight.. That is accurate Cat. at least when I first made my application in 1977. It took me two years from application date to get approval to operate, but I was required to get the plane registered about 8 months before approval. So I bought and registered my new plane as a comm...

Re: Chisel Charters?

Was not trying to compare to the above, only trying to point out that many chisel charter operators became ligitimate operators after a time. I owned my plane with a bank loan that had to be paid. It took a minimum of two years to get charter approval befor deregulation.

Re: Chisel Charters?

A number of airlines in Canada started out as chisel charter companies. That what happens when you started your business in past years and it took two or more years to get approval. Happened to me in 1978. I had to fly to pay for the plane I had bought and had to have in advance to get the OC. So, Y...

Re: Aviation Apps for Android Tablet

Try this:
http://www.naviatorapp.com/default.aspx

Designed in Vancouver.
The only problem for Canadian VFR Unfortunately is that Nav Canada holds the copyright to the actual VFR and IFR charts and they are currently unable to be added to the app.
When will Navcanada enter the 21st century?
