Re: Fast Air

I have heard many great things there, even in my part of the country(Eastern Ontario). 25,000 divided by 12 is 2083.33/month gross 2083 divided bi-weekly is 1041.67 gross. Even a 250 hr right seater would have a hard time making rent, car payment and all the others. Forget about it if him/he...

Vedalo HD Sunglasses

Hi Folks,

I am considering ordering a pair of vedalo hd shades from VIP pilot. They are now on sale for $200 down from $250. I was wondering if anyone here has a pair and is willing to give a brief product review. Still a pretty hefty price for shades, are the benefits worth it?

Hi Bede, Kudos on a very imformative post. Thanks for taking the time to outline things so clearly. I was wondering if the option to contribute 0% to the esp in the early years in favour of receiving a full salary exists or if you must contribute a minimum amount. I would imagine some new hires migh...

Hey Guys,

I was just curious. Given the hub and spoke model that porter has does this mean pilots always end the day back at city center or do you have the occasional layover?

Hey JB1, just curious as to where I might be able to get a copy of your book (the pilot one of course). Hey JP, You can get my book at a number of places. If you're in Toronto or Vancouver, they carry it at aviation world. They also have it at the Prop Shop at Buttonville airport near Toronto. If y...

Interesting topic. I'm in the exact opposite situation as JAHinYYC. I flew for a few years and then decided to become a lawyer. I'm currently articling at a regional law firm in Halifax. I am happy I made the switch, but more for individual reasons than a blanket 'one career is better than the othe...

Hey guys, I don't have much knowlege on this topic so my idea may be a bit naive but I thought I would throw it out there. The one year validity begins at any point you intend on using your CPL privileges (or flight test/written for the CPL) from the date of your medical examination. If you hold a CPL, you may still exercise the privileges of a PPL with your cat 1 (but NOT CPL) beyond 1 year. Thanks Hairdo, next time B...
