Re: A320 and B767 for Jazz pilots

The only ones getting pissed off are ACPA. Hmmm...I don't know about that. The ALPA MEC recently sent out a newsletter which mentioned that Air Canada had expressed concern regarding the allocation of resources between the CPA vs. Thomas Cook. If Jazz neglects the CPA they will find many more SkyRe...

Perhaps Mr. Hall is out on a fishing trip to attempt to enrage people enough that they will make un-PC comments that he can use in court to try to prove his group is being discriminated against?

Guess this is just a case of biting the hand that feeds you Actually if you read El Comat's second post, he is actually "looking out for the hand that feeds him". He points out that passengers don't know these rules and just assume that Porter is somehow better because they were able to land/take-o...

Re: Federal Court Judicial Review Hearing Completed

Don't even bother asking Ray that question! I've put that question out before and all the flypast60 group does is skirt it. Frankly, there have been many workable ideas put forth by ACPA members but the flypast60 group won't work with any of them. They want it all and they won't settle for any sort ...

US Airways has Embraer 190's in it's mainline fleet. *(US Airways Express has 175's, 170's, 145's and CRJ 900's though)

Re: Runway Orientation at LAX

Exactly, you can only have 3 parallels on one set of runway numbers using left, center, and right. When you get to 4 parallels you have to round the magnetic heading up for two of them and down for two of them. Also, sometimes they will assign a different number to a 3rd parallel runway especially i...

If someone were unemployed with no other job prospects on the horizon, then how could you blame them for taking a low paying job. On the other hand...I would have no loyalty to the low-paying employer if a better opportunity came along.

Re: Upgrading from Class 4 to Class 1 at once? (Instructor)

Does it not seem like the requirements to become a class 1 flight instructor (or even a class 4 for that matter) are rediculously low. I think the best thing we could do for this industry is raise the requirements for flight instructors. Especially for class 1's and 2's and any instructor who is tea...

Ok...this is a completely serious idea. Re: AIR CANADA TO COMMENCE TORONTO CITY AIRPORT FLIGHTS IN F

Interesting that the media hasn't even brought up the comparison of AC contracting out Tier 2 flying of a Q400 as was done in the US with some mainline carriers. Why would they bring it up now? Or are you just pointing out the Q400 specifically (as opposed to C580, BAE148, DHC8-100/200, CRJ etc) be...

Absolutely! Air Canada employees can travel as C3s on any of your 757 charter flying. AC employees will still get C2s on any flying that Air Canada pays for and has it's code on.
