Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Good luck getting a meaningful responce from the president - I sent him an email stating my concerns & the reply was that my concerns were forwarded to the directors;no reply from anyone else in over a week - very poor. I also have tried over the years to get a reasonable insurance quote on my 185 f...

Re: xplornet

Bud of mine lives in the middle of nowhere & has been using xplornet for about 10 years.Had the ku band first -which wouldn't handle his voip phone so he updated to the ka band & that managed to have enough speed for the voip to work reasonably well, although there was about 30 seconds of stuttering ...

My father was part of a U2 recovery about that time,he told me about it a few years ago.He was RCAF on DC3's on skiis then. The way my dad told me it was in the dead of night in the dark of winter & the pilot deadsticked it onto the frozen lake saving the aircraft.

If memory serves me correctly ,one of the local papers had initially reported that the weather at the time of the crash wasn't very good in the area.

Take your friends & family to places you've never been & treat them as customers. Take them fishing to areas you've never been to.Tie up on shores, near trees & other challenging areas(without compromising safety). My dad was my toughest customer when I first bought my aircraft, wanted to fly in every...

Re: 185 Lean of Peak on Floats

I paid $1.73/litre yesterday after coming back from Anahim Lake in my 185.I would think that at 100 lean of peak it would have showed about 1 gallon us/hour less on the fuel flow had I chose to run it 100 lean of peak,my memory could be off a bit but if it is close then that would only be 3.78 litre...
