Re: AVEOS closes the doors

I have many friends whose tools ended up behind closed doors after a company failure. Each was asked to set up a pick up time & then let someone associated with the reciever have a look inside the box to ensure that none of the ex companies tools were in your possession. You were then assisted with th...

Ice , or ran out of oxygen.I heard him over Vernon on 126.7 trying to find a route to Killam through the weather. He mentioned that he could go as high as 18,000.I couldn't hear pacific radio's side of the conversation as I was to far away.

Take your friends & family to places you've never been & treat them as customers. Take them fishing to areas you've never been to.Tie up on shores, near trees & other challenging areas(without compromising safety). My dad was my toughest customer when I first bought my aircraft, wanted to fly in every...

Re: 185 Lean of Peak on Floats

I paid $1.73/litre yesterday after coming back from Anahim Lake in my 185.I would think that at 100 lean of peak it would have showed about 1 gallon us/hour less on the fuel flow had I chose to run it 100 lean of peak,my memory could be off a bit but if it is close then that would only be 3.78 litre...

Re: 185 Lean of Peak on Floats

I've tried running my 185 at various power settings on both wheels & cap 3000 floats & ended up settling on the 24 squared with book fuel flows.I have a ei 6 cylinder cht & egt monitor. Not a fan of progressive - bought a factory reman from them & they wouldn't honour the warranty so I had to pay to...

I'm not in the military, but my dad was search & rescue in the 70's. Unless you are standing in the crew's shoes; at the time that they are performing their duties - I wouldn't say a word of critisism. My father was a flight engineer in 413 search & rescue from 1974 until 1978 on labradors & chinooks in Summerside PEI.He got up from family gatherings, special occasion...

Re: Seaplane down at Powell Lake

Aircraft has edo 2790's on it.I had heard that water was in one of the front compartments & as he tried to take off it filled up enough to cause the front of the float to fill & submerge & it then flipped over.
