Re: TPE331-43

-43's were installed on the early turbo commanders in the late 60's. Plenty of em around.

Also MU-2's, PC-6's....

Northern Lights in Dawson Creek had a -43 powered Commander. Im pretty sure they had all the books for it? Maybe give em a shout.

Re: AC looking for AME's

Immediate positions available YYZ/YUL. Pooling a bit for some Western Canada based as people are recalled/transferred back to thier homes (mostly YVR/YWG folk) from what I can tell. Some retirements on the horizon as well.

Protect your scope - or nothing prevents WJA from doing something like Swiss did when the eventual 87's arrive.

Re: WestJet introduces WestJet Link

Good news for those YYC Integra guys who got all dialed-up on the Saab only to see it leased (eventually sold) to Pasco.

I'm curious if any 'local' operators (Cariboo, Sunwest, etc) were chatted up as well.

May be an option just down the street there. Get some M2 work. Not sure if they are okay with occasional part time.

Re: how do kids afford this racket???

Honestly, The few times I've been around the flying club/schools in the last year, after some brief chit-chat with students here & there - I would argue the majority of students are coming from quite affluent backgrounds, in which the majority of their schooling/lifestyle is supplemented by family f...

I imagine the TSB will frequently call of the RCMP to help gather witnesses and statements. It's usually not an admission of some criminality being involved. It's rather that the RCMP has resources (media relationships, awareness, phone lines, staff) available to consolidate information and witnesse...

Express carriers aren't any better than AC when it comes to hiring. Works three-ish years on ramp/ops for 703/704/705 charter carrier - right seat king air for a year - hired at Jazz. Other who in same time frame plies the trade around the boonies getting some seasonal PIC and eventually right seat ...

I'm pretty sure the on-line interview actually just records your response to some pre-canned questions through a special website. Hiring gang then reviews your responses/video later. Pretty sure it works with an iPad.

I was travelling YYC-YVR-YYC in my previous employer's maintenance work shirt pretty frequently last year. Usually would have lanyard/RAIC tucked in the front of shirt underneath the collar. Got handed the plastic Subway-gloves twice. First time I was too surprised to actually react so I just kinda ...

This is one of those situations where a decent real base manager earns their wages. In this day of contracting things out to the lowest possible bidder, the customer (airline) loses control. A motivated local employee would have cajouled, ran around, bumped heads, use local favours and gotten them o...

There was a SB in development for 27000 when I was last browsing Bombardier's portal around a year ago. Check the newsletters. I think Porter and FlyBE were some of the driving operators behind it. Not sure if it is 'public' yet. Having said that, heard people do it with ferry flights on Q's and old...

Hopefully you have a work washing machine so ya don't stink up your household one. Put a can or two of coke with your soiled clothes and detergent. Hopefully dark colours so coke won't stain it so much. It'll get 90% of the smell out. I know sounds bizarre but works. Otherwise, don't fret. You will ...
