Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
Right!? I'd like to hear the reasoning from those of you that won't represent. Why don't you want to support your Association and colleagues on something so important. - I'm spiteful and don't like ALPA - i don't like the lanyard material - I'm not a lanyard guy - I'm pro-company and don't support u...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
That's it. Behave like United and Delta if you want United and Delta like results. It's really fucking easy. The MEC has asked everyone to do something very very simple here: wear the lanyard. Is that seriously too much? If you can't follow your leadership for one simple thing that they have said is...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
No deal is better than bringing forward a bad deal. With the amount of work we have tasked this NC with, it's no surprise that this takes a lot of time. I think we all know how deficient the AC Pilot contract is and in how many areas. Also, look to the South, United took a couple years to get a deal...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
Everyone has had enough time now... Going forward no pilot will ride my jump: - without a red WCC lanyard on their raic - blue lanyard doesn't cut it until we ratify - if upon looking at reportlink I see suspicious activity - that they have VO in the last number of months - slid days on RSV - exten...

Leave your family to go fly a 'ho and live on a reserve god knows where?
Unless it was a decent rotation, I wouldn't leave my family.

Re: How was in the past
I applied to Jazz in the late 00's as a 704 multi-turbine Capt with 5000 hours. There was no response. Similar story here. I started applying at Jazz in about 2004 with only Navajo time and I kept applying until about 2010 with over 5000 hrs and 3000 hrs of large multi turbine PIC. They never did c...

Re: EXPECTED NUMBER OF RETIREES AT AC.
So in 1 year the music will stop playing at AC? If we extrapolate from there based on previous cycles, there will still be seats at WestJet, Jazz, and Encore for another year or two of hiring, plus the expansion at the ULCC level. Based on this, and barring an economic catastrophe, the music on thi...

Re: US Regional FO - Year 1 - $206,000 Canadian
We are roughly 55%+- behind our 2002 wage package, and have given massive lets on our working conditions and Scope. The Corp pocketed all of it for 20+ years . Good for them, it's good business sense. They have benefited from our direct loss for decades now. It's time to play FAIR and PAY BACK a li...

Re: Former ACPA Reps at Informational Pickets
Pretty sure 90% of your colleagues would take VO if it meant feeding their kids and covering their increased mortgage costs. Don't kid yourself. Didn't you say that pilots are overpaid?? You are a TROLL. There's the proof if anyone had any doubts. Find something better to do. Regardless of whether ...

Re: Yr 1 FO $130k
Remove 4 year flat and the seniority on WB FO spots will realign after the first bid.. There won't be new hires on them any more. Same with 320/737 to an extent once the shortage is further addressed. New hires will be joining as RPs and 220 FOs for the most part. I'd love to see $130K year 1, but I...

Re: any news on the next CMSC?
Also resignations... About 12 resignations on this bid alone... I'd have to go back, but I think that's the most I've seen maybe ever... There used to almost never be a resignation, in the last couple years it has been increasing. More on every bid. I count 14 resignations. Hmmm... 14 thanks, I did...

Seniority numbers are assigned Jan. 1 each year. All the retirements between Jan. 1 and today are included in those 5223 seniority numbers to the most junior pilots. Probably +/-125 pilots... hopefully more...

Re: Timing the cycle
Really you have it backwards, passenger volumes and capacity affect cargo, not the other way around. Much of the drop you see at these dedicated cargo carriers is a shift in volumes as more belly capacity moves into passenger aircraft. What you also see is a retreat in yield. 3 years ago cargo price...

Re: Timing the cycle
You, as does AC management, see our past losses as permanent. We don’t. We see gaining our past losses as breaking even. We see this as finally recovering from CCAA. We gave. The company prospered. Time to return the rake. Not just the handle. If AC doesn’t voluntarily return the whole rake? We wil...
