Re: E-Mail from Jazz to complete application

Hi, Finish up the application and see when/if they call you first... It takes 2-6 months to get hired from the first time they give you a call... You can specify then when you want to leave (You get asked on the very first phone screening regarding your earliest availability). I was called first wee...

Re: jazz pool

Yes, in my case it was before I accepted the GS offer. the recruiter was very understanding of my reason and my employer was very appreciative. Seniority is everything in the airline I understand but in the grand scheme of things a few seniority spots won't have a huge impact on your career I don't ...

Re: jazz pool

Yes, I have. The timing would not have worked out for me due to a commitment I had made to my employer, I was called for the next ground school without any issues. So I guess as long as you have an understandable reason they will try their best to accommodate you.

Can anyone share the new pay scale under the new contract ? I know it is $36 per credit hour now for the first year but looking for above and beyond that for FO and Captain.

Same here never heard a thing... I understand they only respond if they are actually doing interview AND interested. A friend of mine applied and was auto-rejected early on this year but got called six months or so later and he's flying there now!(He had the 2500 hrs by then) I still think that unle...

Re: Porter video interview

I got 2 questions:
1) Why do you want to work for Porter?
2) Why should we hire you?

I suppose they have a small bank of questions but practise some standard interview/ interview starters questions and you will be fine.

Re: How long before I can afford to move out of parents base

I have two close friends working at Jazz now, under the new contract; One with 2 kids and stay-at-home wife, the other has 3 kids and his wife works part time..Both seem to manage pretty good and they have mortgages too. Not sure why you can't manage to move out of your parents basement. Maybe a mon...

Instead of PMs can they post the answers on here so everyone else can see and not have to ask the question 100 times? I also have questions regarding FO positions. Pay, schedule, flight passes, pension, time for upgrades assuming you come in with decent amount of MPIC and TMPIC time? Is Hawkair cons...

"Multi-pic, multi-pic, multi-pic." Best advice I haver ever gotten. You always have to think about "plan B"... What happens if the whole regional airlines hiring is just a bubble and 6 months down the road we have hundreds of Dash-8 and RJ co-pilots looking for work in the 703 world again ? Who will...

Re: Jet Simulators

Hi everyone, I have an interview coming up where I have to do a sim session in a 747, which I have never flown anything close to it before. Looking to familiarise myself a bit before hand. Does anyone recommend any sims in the Toronto area that I can hire and have an instructor of some sort sit in ...

I happen to be friends with many of these folks @ Keystone and I am proud to call them friends. I am sure some of the many non-jaded people in the industry will take them on.

Thank you. I am not sure if that calls are going out based on experience, how the candidate did on the inteview/sim eval or by how busy the individual recruiter is.

For me recently, one week after interview did the sim. About two weeks later drug/security. One mth after that for offer, no pool. So almost two mths from interview to offer. Recruiting is very busy, they are also dealing with hiring FAs, so be patient your time will come. As they say, no news is g...

because if you are flying a PC12 you are probably making more and have a better schedule than someone working for the above airlines. == rotflmfaooooo -- really - were the FDT changed for 703 Here is food for thought -- remove the multi-engine out of the equation -- 2 pilots -- one a metro driver a...

Thanks for the replies everyone. For those who were asking, it was about 2 weeks to a month between interview and sim, then the same for the rest. Still curious about 2 things. Re: Video Interview

Careful they only give you a couple of days to complete the video interview. I waited a couple of days as I was doing a northern rotation when I applied then missed the cut-off (the video expired apparently). Now I wil have to call HR and see if there's anything they can do to reset it.

Re: Sim eval result

Your question was answered in the last post. PFOs are usually quick so if you didn't hear anything you are probably OK. They will call you when your name comes up on the list, they are doing tons of hiring right now so the list is long (and so is the process) and the recruiters are super busy so han...

Looking to hear opinions from Jazz guys and gals on what you think would be a better choice as far as life style (schedule, pay, upgrade times) and career move if was given the choice between the CRJ and the Dash...Naturally I would always go with jets for the jet time but I hear a lot of people pic...

Hello Just wondering what kind of experience the guys getting calls from jazz right now have... I'm sitting on ~1700 TT with about 1250 PIC, 700 MPIC and few hundred of TMPIC and ATPL written and application submitted. Would that be enough time for a call from Jazz or should I plan on spending anoth...

People, there's only one solution to this problem and it is for the government (Labour Board) to make it illegal for operators to charge money for training bonds. Nothing will ever change if the government doesn't get involved in this issue.
