Re: 10 years ago today Colgan Air 3407

At first indication of a stall the Captain pulled back on the controls and kept pulling overriding the stick push. I think he thought it was a tail stall due to ice.

Re: WOW Air collapses

In the past when I’ve had to stay at a non-layover hotel due to irrops and they demanded a credit card, I’ve contacted Crewsked and said we can’t checkin til the hotel gets a cc number. A phone call from the company usually straightens it out.

Re: WOW Air collapses

Their crew is stranded at the Sandman Toronto. They were supposed to operate YYZ-KEF tonight. Sucks that they will have to find their own way home. Let's hope that they didn't leave their credit cards with the front desk. 30 years in the industry and I’ve never used my personal credit card. Do some...

Here is a hint - all of the GGN pilots will be working under the Jazz collective agreement by year end 2019 (as Jazz employees). What are the odds that the SKY pilots will be able to go from status quo to Jazz WAWCON at their local bargaining table with SKY management in Contract #1? Contract #2? C...

Hiring department Busy for awhile, I'm getting tired of pulling the power back to screw up the jazz flights following me in. Loved not long ago when I took extra time after getting in position for t/o to make a jazz dash having to go around hahaha. Seriously? And you consider your self a profession...

When passengers book a flight the vast majority just look at price, make the Max flights $50 cheaper and people will fill the plane. It’s as simple as that

Normally I would be the last person on this planet to post a link to a Fox “news” story and I don’t think Sully is a hero but I agree with what he’s saying

Interesting that our illoustrious transport minister has chosen to be reactive and not proactive. All very nice to toady up to the americans but playing a form of russian roulette with passengers lives is a little more than trivial. My question to him is: How much is a life worth and then multiply b...

By Pelmets logic, clearly doesn't understand business in the slightest, Pearson would could decommission it's ILS network too, as it costs lots of money to maintain and keep certification, and all airlines should be using WASS anyway. Actually, they will someday. The days of the ILS are date...

The worldwide herd mentality to shutting down 737 Max operations till the cause is found, seems to have momentum building .....Marc Garneau's comments from yesterday seem industry generated...if 18 dead Canadians aren't enough to make him act...how many would ? Faith healers don’t work in hospitals for the same reason psychics don’t win the lottery. If you want to believe your grass is magical that’s great. But I shouldn’t have to respect it any more than I do the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
