Re: What is this nausea???

Could it be some ventilation problem? I find a lot of planes I fly feel "stuffy," and having the vents open helps. What kind of aircraft are you flying? Is it always the same one? I fly 172s, and tend to fly with the upper vents open regardless of temperature just to get fresh air, because...

RE: Recent TransAsia ATR 72-600 Crash

For people who were wondering what happened to the TransAsia plane: (Link in German) http://www.flugrevue.de/zivilluftfahrt/airlines/atr-absturz-piloten-schalteten-falsches-triebwerk-aus/609126 (because the idiots with the media here aren't telling you for some reason - guess there's no new video to...

Re: How to crash an airplane

^ I definitely think you took this more personally than you should have. What he (and the report) are saying, is that if you decelerate over a longer distance, then the lower the G forces. And the lower the G forces, the less damage your body has, and your chances of survival increase. It's scientif...

Re: Would you buy a flying car?

AirFrame, that's a good point. With that prop and all the control surfaces out in the open like that, and the attention it would draw, it'd be bound to get dinged. Do you think it'd be best insured as a plane for the more stringent maintenance? an apathetic population You think so? I mean I don't th...

Re: This guy should start an airline

As an recently graduated mechanical engineer (with 1-2 years experience working summers and internships mind you), I can attest that it's still very hard to find a job. Especially one that you want. (Which I think is part of the problem here). I mean I'm working, it's still engineering, but not exac...

With the latest PR about this: http://www.gizmag.com/aeromobil-3/34491/ http://icdn2.digitaltrends.com/image/aeromobil-3-0-flying-car-prototype_100487755_h-970x548-c.jpg Would you buy one? What do you see as the benefits/negatives? What would you change? I for one, think it would make having my own ...

Thanks, I will contact him and see what happens! From what I can see so far, there's Border City Aviation, but they seem to be flying C172s.

Re: Tailwheel books? "The Compleat Taildragger Pilot"

Apparently it's an archaic way of spelling it according to Google! I was also confused the first time I saw the title online PilotDAR. Well, thanks for the input guys! Hopefully I'll get it in the mail soon! Been wanting to do this tailwheel flying thing forever, gonna see if I can make it hap...

Re: Dash-8 question

As far as I know, it's to save money on fuel. One turbine is enough to move the plane on the ground, and uses less fuel than two turbines would.

Re: Pilots should take the initiative in achieving their car

You should write an article called "Journalists should take the initiative in achieving their career goals," wherein you comment how since media is relying more on live feeds and updates through FB/Twitter/whatnot, and with newspapers becoming obsolete and going bankrupt, journalists shoul...
