Re: First year U.S. regional FO makes more than fourth year Air Canada FO

For one there is no pilot shortage, we have more than enough pilots with the experience required, the SHORTAGE is in PAY, no one with that level of experience wants to work for crap, and unlike in Canada, they won't. The regionals dont actually pay that much, all you can count on for pay is what's ...

I know 705 operators who hire 250 hours guys, I don't think you need more than 200 hours to fly a PC12 from the right seat...

Can you go directly to the gate for a jumpseat or you have to go register at the check-in counter?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Of course there is a shortage, but mainly at the regional level and down. A lot of regionals are cancelling/delaying flights right now because of lack of crew. This is a fact!

I know people who where hired OTS recently with only 705 right seat time and about 3000TT.

From what I've heard and seen AC is the major in Canada where internal references will not help you so much.

On paper in my house, pictures of all pages in the cloud and photocopies in another town.

I'm not interested in an electronic logbook, they're gonna have to force me to do it.

The bond is only paid if you leave and it is prorated. 300 hours per year sounds better than 1000 per year The bond also ties you there financially if you don't like the job. It allows employers to be less than pleasant to work for because they know the employees can't afford to quit. I know severa...

De ce que j'entends ils seraient sur le point de vendre leurs avions et donner le contrat en sous-traitance. Trop chère à opérer.
