I'm waiting for the "any two people alone together in a room with the door shut is automatically gross misconduct and they are both summarily dismissed" rule. That protects both parties. But, there might be times when both parties might want to be alone in the same room together. Are they going to ...

Re: IMC in VFR - Kasper Aviation

At night no less. Hm. Many years ago, I, quote, scared the sh!t, unquote, out of a coworker by flying VFR at night to a destination under a low-ish ceiling. Scenario: clear VMC all of the way, with a low stratus layer rolling in off the water for the last few (less than 5) miles. We ducked under, a...

Ejection seats and parachutes

This is a duplicate post from the 'other' place, but I thought that it might be an interesting discussin here, also. An interesting philosophical discussion to be had here, perhaps? (Assuming) You have an active seat, under what circumstances do you use it? And, is there any responsibility to people...

IFR Time logging. Rule of Thumb?

OK, I'm dusting off my resume, and a job that I'm interested in wants a certain amount of 'Instrument Time'. I gave up logging actual IMC, and IFR planned flights a few thousand hours and several years back (mainly because I had 'enough' at that time..), so I'm now in the process of reconstructing m...

There have been a lot of posters banned/leave the forum due to excessive "oversight" from "big brother". Is that better? Repeat after me: War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength. Perspective, perhaps? I think Orwell was talking about a government. This is a privately-owned website.
