Re: 17 year TA?

The MEC always tries to Sell us on the TA. Ive never been a fan of this approach. How about just list the pros and the cons and let the pilot group decide? And get us the info ASAP. Let the group review it and ask the pertinent questions. The company and the union have been having it out for months....

Re: Re:

Yup! Everything he said. Except he probably meant "Diffent Type" not "different time" I know of a couple captains who were released from the freeze to go from classic/q to the RJ. I've yet to see a frozen FO move from the classic to the Q. Not sure why anyone would want to make the swap. But I'm ou...

Re: Re:

From what I've been told about the "differences" on the Q to DH8 and vice versa is "its at the companies discretion". If THEY need you on a different time and it suits them they can "give you the course" and you're unfrozen. But I've never heard of it happening.....but they kinda leave it out there...

Re: CMA vs PASCO

Jazz and Encore is hiring 250 hrs pilots out of integrated programs only... Otherwise, you need to be north of 700 hours... Erroneous. They've been interviewing 500 and below for a while. Who knows if you'd actually get hired below 500.. but worth a shot. As for the original question? Pasco. Hands ...

Re: Next Step, AC or WJ Mainline?

The benefits are amazing and the vacation time annually is pretty sweet Honest question since I do read this statement quite a bit on this forum. What makes the benefits so "sweet" compared to other regions (sky, porter etc.) I would figure they would be roughly equivalent wouldn't they? You would ...

Re: Classic Dash replacement??

Aren't they just extending the life of the -300s? I'm sure a big enough order, and Viking would make some Q300NGs They are attempting to extend the life of the -311's, as it seems the -301s are kaput once the gear is out of spec. GSTA went in for its extension and lo and behold, ended up being part...

Re: Classic Dash replacement??

The 100 is already being phased out. A lot of it’s routes it’s being replaced by 300’s and their routes by the Q. There are quite a few that don’t seem to justify the Q And I wonder how jazz/chorus plans to supplement that

Re: Why aren’t unions pushing for FAA ATP req?

I get a kick out of anyone thinking 1500hrs ion the right seat should grant them an A. Umm.. It wasn't that long ago that it was 1500hrs PIC.. with FO time only counting as 1/2. Which meant most career FO's needed 3000hrs TT.

Encore Pilots, Dust off, and update your AC application. The AC training department is planning and gearing up for almost 600 hires next year and even more the next. Retirements, growth, and the new duty regulations are driving this plan. AC has hired a lot of their own Express pilots recently and ...

Re: Negligent Misrepresentation - Encore pilots

There are no attacks. Simply commentary on your actions. Have you actually retained legal counsel? Have you had a consultation with a lawyer that practices in labour and employment law? It might be an eye opener. From an outside perspective, I don't see any wrongdoing by the bargaining agents. No mo...

There have been many instances where I have typed up lengthy well researched responses, trying my best to avoid commentary that would lead to the typical name calling and personal attacks. Then, when I'm just about ready to push that glorious submit button, it dawns on me, again, that Mister multipl...

Re: Chorus/Ggn/Sky merge

The a220-300 won't be at express. I'm not sure what the configurations are like on the -100, but I'd assume it too would be outside of the scope language, unless AC decides to bully ACPA into allowing it and adding some more wide bodies. IIRC it was based on a fleet ratio with them was it not? I cou...

Re: Chorus/Ggn/Sky merge

SKR has only signed the cards. Not sure they've certified yet. However, I doubt AC would try and pull a fast one on them and push or force a purchase/merge. They could however downsize SKR and hand Jazz a bunch of the embraers, as they did to us by giving GGN our old tired 200s. You'd be more likely...

Our union would not allow a bond. The working conditions are far better than most operations here, which tends to keep people.
