Re: New Contract thread

There are still plenty of jobs at risk. You could drive a truck through the hole in the no furlough language. What I mean is that the rumours were far worse (<120 seats, no ASM ratio, no LCC). Instead of trying to troll me JDM why don't you grow a set and tell me who you are since you seem to know me?

Re: New Contract thread

For every increase of a MJA above the current 16 at a CPA provider, mainline must also increase by 1. So jazz could get 44 705's if AC got 44 more 320's. There is also a let that 1 wide body can be substituted at a 2 to 1 ratio..ie. 22 767's or some combination thereof. Not quite correct. CPAs can ...

Re: Did your tailor quit recently?

Since we went to the off the rack tunic I have left mine at home. Perhaps it's due to my ever expanding girth, however I have been unable to get a tunic that fits me properly. Hard when you are shaped like a reverse hourglass.

So for now it's overcoat only.

Re: 50 Q400 at WJ being farmed out

What will you guys have to say when WestJet Widebody starts up with a separate OC paying 80% of the AC/AT wages? You set the precident for the Regional, so it should be completely acceptable for the Widebody operation too right? I'm sure you guys will have some BS justification for how it's differen...

Re: 50 Q400 at WJ being farmed out

Other interesting note is te reference to paying below market MEDIAN.

There is a HUGE difference between MEDIAN and AVERAGE/MEAN.

HUGE.

Re: 50 Q400 at WJ being farmed out

Bede Just like I said to our Negotiating Committee, I would rather see fewer jobs if they pay well than a lot of jobs that pay shit. Not every pilot at the regional will be hired at the mainline. Those pilots deserve to be stuck at 80% median wages with shitty benefits? Having to pay 50% of their be...

Re: 50 Q400 at WJ being farmed out

Shit wages and benefits because of the WJ mainline carrot dangling at the end of the stick. 10 pilots from the regional can be hired at the mainline for every 40 off the street.....that carrot could go rotten in a hurry. It's a slippery slope. 80% of the MEDIAN wage. Not AVERAGE. Be very, very caref...

I don't know why I allow myself to be baited into this subject, but.....

If I was a Jazz pilot, after the creation of Sky Regional I'd be more concerned with keeping the flying we've got then the possibility of getting more.....

Calin is on the record as saying Jazz is too expensive.

I could be wrong, but I highly suspect the vote was split and the Chair did not want to be the deciding vote. You are wrong. Guys, how about instead of spreading bullshit rumours, you make a phone call or send an email and get the FACTS. It isn't hard. I emailed all the YYZ LEC members this morning...
