Re: Cold temp correction problem

All the RNAV/GNSS approaches I've seen have a minimum published temperature for the procedure. I've been taught that you only make cold weather corrections when the temperature goes below the minimum published temperature. TLIM, or temperature limit only applies to LNAV/VNAV and RNP AR approaches b...

Re: how long

Cmon really? Social norms. You act differently in a bar with your buddies than you do at the gala. I agree, however I am not your buddy nor are we in a bar, and if you are trying to convince me of something your argument suffers if you come across as juvenile. Something you are not actually doing n...

Re: how long

You’d have to be absolutely retarded to say that in an interview, so why bring it up? To illustrate a point you can’t seem to grasp even when it’s almost out of your mouth. Why wouldn’t you say that in an interview? Could it be because you want to be taken seriously and not appear juvenile? What do...

Proudly square. Not so square that I’ve bothered to calculate my daily post rate though. That’s someone with too much time on their hands. Btw, bro is just as bad. Can’t take it seriously. Not sure why I'm even replying but the number shows up when you click someones name How about that. Referring ...

Re: how long

A little tip Garp, as if your posts weren't full of enough shit your use of the word "dude" betrays your teenagerness (is that a word?). If you think teenagers have said dude in the last 20 years, it shows how out of touch you are No , it shows how out of touch people who still use it are. Long pas...

Re: Cold temp correction problem

One would be stupid not to set a reference barometric altitude because first rule is more information is always better. Assuming it is correct information perhaps. I would rather have no information than bad information. Why would anybody base minimums decisions on anything but what is published? P...

Re: 2nd Job

Why would I edit it Fanblade? I meant every word. I didn’t win, you made us all lose and after over eight years it’s about time you stopped blaming other people for your miserable life just because they could see what was obvious and you couldn’t. Read my post every day because I mean it every day, ...

Re: 2nd Job

One side wanting the wealth transfer addressed. The other side wanting to keep the wealth transfer. Bullshit. If that were even faintly true ACPA and the pilots would have tried to get some of the windfall the company enjoyed. I did not see any attempt by ACPA or the pilots to address the pay dispa...

Re: 2nd Job

Or they will say (and did say until we were blue in the face) there is such a thing as the charter of rights and freedoms in this country, and only an utter fool would think Air Canada pilots are exempt. That's the point isn't it? A bunch of utter fools thinking they could cover their eyes and prete...

Re: how long

You’d have to ask Hedley about that. I’m sure he could offer you some tips if you’d like. Haha, no thanks. It’s sad that you feel that way. You could learn quite a lot from him. Nothing good. I'm a bit confused about your previous post, are you saying you were in the left seat before you disccovere...

Wow, totally amazing. Keep them coming, you must have one where you did the entire flight inverted. All a simple matter of trimming it just so... You’d have to ask Hedley about that. I’m sure he could offer you some tips if you’d like. Haha, no thanks. Seriously, how do you consistently leave FO's ...

Re: how long

Do you need the seatbelt sign off? No, but it adds to the awesomeness of the story. It is truly remarkable that even with people and crew moving about in the cabin not even small corrections were needed to return to altitude or course for five whole minutes. What’s unfortunate is that tsgarp chose ...

Re: Cold temp correction problem

Oh ya -- no correction on LPV MDA Do you have a source for that? I am trying to understand why cold temperatures would affect the barometric altimeter on every other approach type, but not LPV... so if there is an ILS and LPV approach to the same runway, with the same charted mins, you can go lower...
