Yes, first person was less than helpful. So I called back and waited another 45 minutes and got a helpful person. 1.5 hours to book a standby ticket.........

MyID Travel - Air Canada Bookings Down

Anyone else having issues listing with AC as a reciprocal. Myself another coworker and two Transat guys are all having problems with a No availability message.

I called the travel desk, they told me that they can't list me because ID travel isn't working.

Anyone?

Re: Companies that do not require Training bonds

Instead of always bashing companies that require pilots to pay or sign a training bond, I thought we could do a more positive thread about companies that don't require bonds. Also if you have had positive experiences with companies that treat their pilots well. I'll start with two 1). Commercial Av...

Re: Headset as an income tax deduction

It's been roughly eleventy million years since I've purchased a new headset and was just wondering if it's an actual income tax deduction. I'm just a regular employee, not a contractor. Side note; Bose vs. Zulu? I'm too lazy to do any actual research of my own. Aaaaand go. - Toeless. I concur with ...

Looking for current info on air Georgian hiring. They aren't hiring illegal immigrants. Umm the preferred term is irregular immigrants thank you very much. Haven’t you watched enough of the liberal controlled media? Irregular immigrant, is that like an immigrant that's constipated?

Re: Air Georgian

Hi roadrunnersmother. I am the head recruiter for Air Georgian, Ahmend has turned your file over to me personally! As you may or may not have heard (as we try to keep our advertising to a minimum), we are indeed the best path to Air Canada. 100% of pilots at Air Canada today have journeyed through ...

ATPL If the GGN interviewer asks to see your CPL, I assume you'll walk out of the interview. I can't get interview at Georgian yet. Ahmed was all nice to me at first then turned very impolite. Then don't ask questions about the wardrobes. The Narnia turn wasn't public knowledge. Besides they need 5...

That's embarrassing. I hope TC is reading this. They know. Multiple current and former employees have filed complaints. Their response is usually the same. They won't prosecute on witness testimony alone. They need to catch them in the act. I have noticed they have stepped up enforcement a bit on E...

If I got yelled at for taking a spray, then I'd quit, and see them in court for the bond. Could always just cancel the flight too if glycol is too expensive. But I'm also not chasing the giant red carrot, and have no intention of working at EVAS The thing people again leave out is that cargo isn't ...

I'd make it a personal goal to be on top of that board. Makes Transport's job easy too. All they need to do is read a few names at the bottom, then hang out at the gate when those crews are scheduled to fly. Everyone says that, but reality is, no one actually likes getting yelled and sworn at by th...

Re: Logbook cleanup

Thanks. I'm used to very rigid logbook rules from the military. Seems a little more higgledy piggledy out in civvie world You also could buy or make a digital logbook and transcribe everything into it. I went digital pretty early, like 300 hours in. No problems with it so far. When anyone has asked...

So you work 90+ hours a month and no overtime pay? Is that even legal? Apparently it is. Most are flying over 100 hours per month at EVAS with no additional compensation. They claim because they pay salary you are not elligable for OT. The best part! If you are unfortunate enough to have to...

Re: Evas

I'll bite! Here are some questions, likely to be asked by many people. 1. How much is the promissory note for? How long is it? How much money do you have to pay upfront? 2. How many hours do you fly per month on average? 3. At what point to you start getting overtime and how much does OT pay? 4. Ho...

They "exploits" pilots LOL, You beat me too it! At least they don't false advertise!!! It drives me nuts that in a place that has such high unemployment as NL that the government allows TFW in. There are career retraining programs in place to retrain local workers. Yet the scum bag operators prefer...
