Yeah, they're all scared of crashing. Understandable. Had a woman say the other day, i'm not scared of flying, "BUT NOT IN THE RAIN." It's taken me a long time to overcome my fear of those little condensation nuclei droplets, they'll swallow you whole.

Just a heads up, if you're going to bluff about sleeping with someone's wife. Make sure she's NOT in a coma. Made that mistake once or twice.

I think it's funny when we fly them to their 5 star fishing camp up north and they think they're roughing it in the bush. Spending more money for 4 days of fishing than i make in a year. Lately every charter someone has asked me if we have parachutes as well. At what point in an emergency would you ...

Getting pissed off when people say "conflicts advise", alot alot of these complaints are trivial (including some of mine), but that's ridiculous. But i guess when you do it long enough things get on your nerves. Like how bout saying "looking for lower".

US airspace is a cinch, it's all controlled.

All they have to do is look at a map and interpret it. Then they won't make it dangerous for everyone around them. You have to prepare for your flights.

Haha, yeah. Whenever i hear Yanks on the radio they have no idea what they're doing. Mostly in uncontrolled. It can be pretty painful. I remember having to listen to center try and pass them off to radio for a minute cuz they didn't know what he meant. Then having to endure their conversations back ...

It can be a shitty situation at times. You can break out right over the runway, but at that poing it's too late. Plus, for my company at least the most approaches they allow you to do is 2 before going to your alternate. It's Jazz, this isn't legitimate controversy cuz they know what they're doing. ...

I think they just meant real pilot.

Ooooh, that's just good shit.

Guy: So you're a pilot
Pilot: Yes, a flight instructor
Guy: Do you get dizzy doing that
Pilot: Why would i get dizzy
Guy: Well you fly around in circles all day

Px: Looking at me in my uniform with an uncomfortable look, are you our pilot?

Me: One of them

Px: How old are you?

Me: 21

Px: So there's no age restriction in Canada?

WTF, one American even asked if we had the internet in Canada. They must be stopped.

Someone may correct me but the baby boomers are retiring at the moment, from Air Canada and what not. Obviously when the high ups start leaving it moves everyone else up who's beneath them, or so to speak. I'd say there are a couple guaranteed years left of opportunity. So i'm gonna ride this thing ...

But if you ask the question here you'll get some answers. Then people will disagree and get pissed at eachother and it will be good ol' AvCanada. Then you can sit back and watch the anarchy take place.

Aeroplanes are all based in Great Britain, where the atmosphere is called aero.

They're still two words meaning the same thing, just derived differently. Unless the atmosphere in Great Britain has different characteristics.

Yeah, i've gotten that real plane comment. And when are you going to a big airline. People base there whole view of aviation around companies like Air Canada. If a plane doesn't hold over 100 people, is it still a plane? Hmmm...

Stupid questions about flying

Just for shits i'm curious about what stupid questions you've received about flying. Not to make fun of people (well...), but it is funny sometimes. 1) When i just started my flight training someone i knew asked how often we refuel in the air. 2) Just had my private and asked my buddy if he wanted t...

I'm going to say that it definately doesn't matter in the bush. For the moderately sized airline i fly for now it also didn't matter, no one asked or cared. Air Canada requires a Diploma so that's all i got, but most of the other people in my class got the degree. At the moment it's awesome cuz i'm ...

Give up now isn't the most constructive. Especially after a $60 000 education.
