Re: Wear your goddamn lanyard!

Spoken like a desperate union leader knowing he’s not getting what he’s hoping for… Dan, you beat me to it.....great question. I've asked them before......crickets. Beeker, are you and (Anderoid)Dr. Bunsen Hunnydew a little bored? I see your very prolific with your posts as you're actively posting ...

Re: Wear your goddamn lanyard!

This Memo is about controlling the message and testing resolve. These lanyards were released by YOUR union for YOUR use. You were given them to wear . You need to choose the message you send . This is a crossroads moment. Many tests will follow. Make your choice. If that choice is to move forward......

Re: All you underpaid airline pilots...

So, you think the only thing that drives wages is the ability to transfer your skills elsewhere, guess we’ll find out. Answer one question, the US pilots don’t have the ability to take their skills elsewhere other than the same places Canadians can go, what drove their wages up. Do you think a 20 y...

Re: Timing the cycle

For those who keep comparing CAD to USD and not acknowledging the 40% difference, you need to shake your head. There is a huge difference in buying power and it is extremely disingenuous to say that a $300cad hourly rate is close to a $300usd hourly rate. Huge difference. It's been pointed out on n...

Re: Air Canada pilots should negotiate at least to match Envoy and Medevac

To put into perspective, pilot compensation accounts for 3-6% of an airline’s total costs… some napkin math tells me that the average passenger pays more in Airport “Improvement” Fees, than they contribute towards pilot salaries. To be clear, if pilots were further compensated the "Uber Driver's ti...

Re: Timing the cycle

The decision to accept a deal or strike will be data driven and not JMO. I can’t see AC pilot support for anything less than 2003 inflation adjusted to today. ( minimum) Why would we be worth less than 20 years ago? Makes no sense. But I’m making an educated guess. I haven’t obviously seen the poll...

Re: Timing the cycle

Lt. Kaffee by another name. This crap is getting old. It's almost a pathetic cut and paste. We've heard it all before, apples not oranges, pilot supply, unique Canadian market........ yadda yadda yadda yadda....... Here's a message for you, sir. The --severe discount-- on Canadian pilot labor is OV...

Re: Timing the cycle

Would usually spend a Friday afternoon catching up here before the weekend.. but the cabin calls, so a few Thursday thoughts. I'll also try and keep it as plain language and simple as possible to avoid misinterpretation and/or misunderstanding - seems to be a lot of it amongst the ranks? Comparing ...

Re: Yr 1 FO $130k

Hang in there. Once the AC Pilots ratify, he/she will be M.I.A. Just my opinion, but there are far too many people on this forum taking this "self professed expert" Muppet seriously. You'd almost think we had an inferiority complex that needs some form of self-reassurance. We need to justify our st...

Re: Yr 1 FO $130k

LOL - unanimously decided in a non public board meeting to double salaries and you're yelling hold the line? Yeah, get your sources right. Next thing you're going to tell us in the same meeting the same board magically fixed the broken and brutal IT systems, decided to reinstate free meals on domes...

Re: Yr 1 FO $130k

Boys and gals get ready. Good things are coming. In a recent board meeting it was unanimously decided that the management understands how pathetic the WAWCON are at AC and are willing to take it to the next level. They want AC to be competitive and want to invest in the pilots. Expect $130k year 1 ...

I've almost got to thank "Beaker the Muppet" for bring out the best in you guys. Maybe she served a purpose after all.

Re: Timing the cycle

There's lots of money to compensate us properly. Lots. Some minor housecleaning done by removing a single layer of redundant "middle-management" and maybe a few dozen useless "accountants", (that can easily be replaced by more efficient accounting software) and they'll have our uplift without spendi...

Why? Why are you guys engaging a Muppet?

Accountant reminds me of Dr. Bunsen Hunnydew's sidekick Beaker. Likely looks the same, and sounds come out, but its just gibberish.

Re: Timing the cycle

Unfortunately the game of "Whack a Mole" is just beginning. Just don't forget what they are, moles.

Our resolve is all that matters. If the informational pickets are any sign, we're well on our way.

See you all in YVR on Dec 8th.
