Re: Timing the cycle

How about a go-fund-me prior to departure? Everyone logs on and the doors only close if the target is met. If there's anything leftover that's what the pilots get, because we're essentially worthless and just a vestigal appendix in regards to the flight, right? Oh, and we need to de-ice? Everyone's ...

If only they had an into-wind runway to land on… Problem is the training for controllers to work the 33s is very specialized.... "Cleared to descend fl180, maintain max forward speed" "Reduce to 120kt" "Turn right 20 degrees" "Turn left 30 degrees" "Increase to 180 knots " "Cleared to 12000" "For s...

Re: Timing the cycle

Why don't we just make a pilot tip option for passengers on the IFE? That way the company doesn't have to give us raises at all! Just tap the 15% button and your pilots can afford to eat that night!

Man, landing 23 at 310 10g20 doesn't sound like that much of a handful for a 777, but I wasn’t there. If this is real, it really got away from them. Lucky.

I watched the video. Nothing happened. Looks like a lot of people trying their absolute best to help her and you've got someone covertly recording it looking for a sensationalist angle, likely to ride the coat-tails of the recent AC PR issues? I don't mean to sound callous, but no respect from me wh...

Did you sleep in? It happens. I've missed at least 7 or 8 in-person interviews because of it. They understand and will definitely reschedule. Sometimes mornings are just for scrolling. Just bring chicken nuggies and coffee. Beer if you're feeling frosty, that's a king move that'll get them talking, ...

This poster is the personification of a crab in the bucket. Didn't make it to the majors. Bitter, and would rather see all airline drivers fail down to their level than succeed as a group. Ironically, if the airline world wasn't so depressed they wouldn't have left, and wouldn't be outside angrily l...

Re: Timing the cycle

Nobody in YVR tower makes less than $400k. There’s money in Canadian aviation, believe me. The cash is absolutely sloshing around. That seems high, but regardless- absolutely. ATC, aviation management up to execs, owners and operators, there's a lot of money out there, but somehow it's been gradual...

Same strange, disparaging and minimizing propganda from the same couple of people. I guess when you cross the border into Canada this job has a very different meaning, and we're only dump truck drivers here, yet nowhere else in the world. Every airline pilot has experienced first-hand the diff...

A bonus alone that's almost 7 times the entry salary at Air Canada adjusted for conversion. It's beyond frustrating being a pilot here. Hoping for panoptic changes at all 705's now that the union who colluded to suppress wages at the top carrier is gone, and just goes to show that 20% is nothing and...

Re: Timing the cycle

As it's been said, the pilots have no bearing on the company's financial position. The company has to pay market rate, end of story. Using simple numbers from AC's reports, I get a rough estimate to give every single pilot on the roster a $50,000 a year raise at a cost of 6 bucks a ticket. That's ro...

What is the cost to build a new home today? If materials and labor remain expensive, new homes will remain expensive, and that will keep old homes expensive. I think we could see a drop in material costs. But good luck finding plumbers and electricians willing to work for less. They will remain in ...

I'm not an accountant and I don't take any responsibility for my dubious free advice, but here it is anyways. ;) You can't claim an education amount as tuition unless it's from a registered college. What you can do is enter the amount as "other expenses" on a form t777, then you transfer that amount...

Its called simply doing your job, no? Honestly, who hurt you? You've got to be the most negative, antagonist dude on here. You take a refreshing, nice, unsolicited complimentary post which is already exceedingly rare, into whatever you're pushing. As Einstein said, don't associate with negative peo...

Their app is first rate and used it extensively during our trip, loaded our boarding passes into my Apple Wallet, got notifications for boarding, gate assignments even a same day re- route through ORD when our Jazz flight was cancelled fr...
