Re: TSC- Pilots hating on Pilots
So you think this is limited to TSC? AC is hiring my friend, you can march your degree on over there and enjoy the nice captains. Like Mach1 said, maybe you attract it. I've seen more pink socks, loose ties and wrinkly shirts at TSC in the last 2 years than. First impressions... TSC- The Social Cha...

Re: TSC- Pilots hating on Pilots
Good points. However, you did miss out on the other side of that career climb. The cadet needs to realise that they are not where they are because they made better choices, not because they are a better pilot, not because they are smarter... they are where they are because they were born in the rig...

Re: TSC- A New Age of Aviation
Were you on your phone at that time? I was wondering the same. I still think that people who start conversations with " Yo wuddup" are really worth listening to. Yes, especially if you are into intellectually stimulating conversations. Cat this is my 9th year in aviation but new to Avcanada. I've s...

TSC- Pilots hating on Pilots
You've probably paid your dues working the ramp, or did the instructor route for years. Then you went up north and got some real experience living away from your family. Finally you got that coveted regional gig, better pay, and reliable machine. All your friends & family say how proud they are of y...

Re: Some compnies now paying out our training bonds to have us join?
I can verify that . has asked their crew who have already moved on to the regionals to come back. They have put up an offer of $10,000 signing bonus. They need Captains to run their operation. The law of Supply and Demand never fails!

TSC- A New Age of Aviation
Yo Waddup, times are changing (yet again). You see it, I see it, a few grumpy old Captains I fly with see it. It's easy to reminisce on the good old days and hate change. The reality is that cockpits are seeing younger flight crew with less flight time at the 705 stage. The reality is you're going t...

Re: Training Department backed up
@Black_Tusk...You seem like a sensitive and hot tempered pilot. I did mention you get paid while training and they have a shortage of instructors.

TSC- Make Northern Ontario flying safe again!
When you flew up in Northern Canada did you ever have a feeling at the back of your mind that the training you received wasn't sufficient to complete the job safely? What if my passengers only knew how little training I received? How incredibly old this airplane is and the amount of deferred MEL'd i...

TSC- Training Department backed up
I know starting a new job has a lot of unknowns. One of the biggest for me was spending time away from family during training. This is to give anyone starting at Jazz a realistic time frame of when you can expect to be done training and return to your base. From the time you finish groundshool (CRM ...

Re: Women's Flying Scholarship
Must be enrolled in an Aviation related degree/Diploma program. I would drop this requirement. It will eliminate a lot of excellent candidates that will really appreciate a scholarship. Could require a 1 page explanation of "what makes a commercial pilot a professional". Flight test scores show the...
