Re: Air Tindi Flight Missing

Some people say wheels down in 10, some people say shooting the approach. All the same.

Re: Wasaya

I didn't say anything about the company. Priceisright was trashing the MEC. The company didn't make improvements, the MEC did. I could go to any company and identify issues. Are they worth grieving over? Probably not. I also didn't say it was a great company. Also how does he know how bad EVAS is, d...

Re: Wasaya

Don't do it man. I was at Wasaya for 6 months in 2018 . I wanted to quit after Day 1. Very, very bad company. On par with EVAS. The union is horrible as well. Didn't have any time at all for my grievances. Union Reps are flying the -300 Goldcorp plane so they have it good and don't care about any o...

Re: New drone rules for Canada...

Does a real pilot license exempt you from requiring to get a stupid drone license ? No! I just wrote the basic exam yesterday...there was a question on effects of icing on a fixed wing, human factors, DAH (which I've never heard of as an ATPL holder). I understand the knowledge requirements around ...

Had the guy put 4,693.7, then I see humour in your post. But he already rounded, so you just look like an a$$.

Re: Float pilot hiring scenario?

A Cessna is a Cessna, IMO. The numbers are different, and the engines as well, but they all FEEL the same. A 172 feels like a 182, 185, 206, 208; they just get bigger. I've heard even the straight wing Cessna jets pretty much feel like a rock solid 172. I notice you left out the crowd killer. Proba...

Re: Wasaya loses freight

NWC pulled the contract, is this the end of wasaya or a fold into EIC mess of airlines. Can’t load the pic, it’s on their FB page Why is this news? Northstar just had to grow enough to handle the capacity. There's a reason why Wasaya leased the cargo Dash 8's. This was known going into the purchase...

Re: DC-3 / C-46 Ramp Slave

I have yet to sign on the dotted line for a job that didn't say "and other duties as assignment by a supervisor". Quit your whining. This is why the industry has this old mentality that is still alive, and fortunately will die off in the next couple of decades. "Whining" is what you call someone wh...

Re: Northern Skies Pikangikum

Does anyone know where the 'Wheels down" as in 'What is your wheels down time? or as Illya says 'Wheels down in five" came from. I think I've only heard that in northern Manitoba. Everybody uses it instead of “Fort Whatever in Five.....”. Like nobody is intelligent enough to know that means LANDING...

Re: Gear-Up: Engine shutdown?

Same here, unless there were some extenuating circumstances I would plan on shutting down the engine's to minimise cost of repair. Not disagreeing whatsoever, but in another thread there was the mentality that the engines needed to be rebuilt no matter what, and the deductible is the same, so why t...
