x2.. You learn Slow flight to recognize the symptoms and prevent the stall, you learn stall recovery incase you didnt realize you were in slow flight and to prevent a possible spin, you learn spin recovery incase you missed all the other warnings.

Like I tell my students, do your home work and don't cheap out. You only have one set of ears. I personally love my clarity aloft headet, but each person is different.

When I was in ZBB, we had 6 in the circuit a few times. Just the other night at YKZ we had 5 C-172's, a C-150 and myself in an Archer, plus two caravans inbound as IFR traffic.

The air cadet program is a great program. Got my glider (2005) and ppl (2006) through it, I aged out in '07 and I'm still involved with the program. IIRC you need a CPL 200TT and 100PIC to be a famil pilot with a Sqn, I'd have to check my contract to be sure though. It is very rewarding taking cadet...

No Im not planning on doing that, from what I thought Instrument an X/C are to be kept seperate unless you are in IMC. I just wanted to confirm that. I probably should've said that it was a hypothetical example. My mistake for the confusion...

Would you suggest the basic ones or should I cough up the extra money for the TSO certified one? I have heard the the mic on the TSO one moves around a bit more. The reason im looking is my DC H10-13.4 are about 6 years old and I find that they squeeze my head. I never really noticed how bad it was ...

A Falcon 10 did go off the runway (33) at approx 1506 Local time today. Both Captain and F/O were uninjured. It came to rest just north of taxiway BA, east of taxiway B and south of runway 03 - 21.
