While I don't think they should privatize the water bombing side. 90%+ of the MEDEVACs are already flown by the private sector. Unfortunately the government wants to rid itself of all responsibilities so when something costs money or someone fucks up it's not their problem.

My advice would be to try and get on as a King Air FO or some kind of pressurized turbine bird. With the way things are moving, upgrade time could be within months.

No expert, but I'm guessing he's basically bound to having to use AF1 for the next four years. I suppose he can have the '57 for family but I would think they'd be allowed on AF1. I too do a daily log entry. In the comments section I write out the legs as: CYYZ-CYAM/CYAM-CYQT/CYQT-CYYZ etc. I do it this way so it shows that they are all separate legs and not one big x-country with say CYAM and CYQT at fly over way points.
