I'm not entirely sure but I think Cessna driver *may* also not be his biggest fan, it's hard to tell.

Calgary Police HAWCS has a pretty good record for nailing these guys. I think they're up to three now. Jason John McConnell, 34 19-year-old Michael Sanche David Mackow, 29 The later was fined $1000... :| Yeah, I was gonna say that the incidence appears to be quite high in the YYC area. Thankfully H...

The whole world should just use YYZ's QNH setting, since it's the centre of the universe, no?

ATC, $140k, but since I work in Alberta, that puts my take home on par with Braun's $200-250k that he earns in la belle province. I should mention that there's a wee bit  of o/t that I earn over and above that. On the other hand, the cost of living here in the land of Milking Honey i...

Re: Two female Passengers charged after sunwing flight diver
Scrambling Hornets? Really? For two drunk bimbos? Did they almost breach the cockpit door? Did they say they had a bomb on board? I don't think so. Pretty extreme measure for a couple of fawking d-bags that can't handle their liquor. As these incidents are (still) painfully commonplace, the more I b...

^I'm just curious, are you being serious, Gino? When allllll the bugs are figured out, I have no doubt it may a really nice little a/c, but you're prepared to claim it'll be more successful than the RJ? That's quite the statement, my friend. (Though part of me hopes you're right, she's a looker).

So, to get this straight, "good service" = "nothing less than exactly what I want". Not gonna happen. Deal with your disappointment. Goodness me, you're incorrigible.photofly wrote:I understand it's the best service you can provide. That doesn't make it a good service.

DCA went uncontrolled for a bit one early morning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq51Iw9BLRU Happened in YEG quite a few years ago. Same thing, the 727 finally just landed at his discretion after a couple/few approach attempts were made. Tower = ZZZZzzzzzz....zz.z...zzzz.. It was between 4 and 5 ...

I have complained to Nav Canada, stating that an "advised" MF airport can be the worst of both combinations - that lack of positive ATC control of aircraft, but with worse radio congestion than uncontrolled unicom aerodromes, where at least the radio is quiet, other than for pilots stating their po...

Re: Service from terminal areas for VFR
M.a.C., you've got it all wrong. He didn't say "poor service", I believe it was "no service". Have him visit the centre, put on the headset, and have him show you how he can approve higher for VFRs, all the while juggling other more pressing traffic (IFR to IFR) situations elsewhere, coordinate with...

Re: Service from terminal areas for VFR
You forgot to include your registration, again. Why, you planning on turning off your transponder and taking a run at him? A big problem here (in my mind) is TCAS and commercial transports (the big shiny ones paying our bills) not wanting to come within 1000' of those crazy weekend warrio...

Re: Service from terminal areas for VFR
[ I don't understand how in IMC it would have been illegal. I was given a clearance and the clearance limit was confined to a climb over the departure airport, and contacting departure, I was instructed to keep shuttle climbing and I would receive the remainder when high enough. Legal, but would ha...

Re: Service from terminal areas for VFR
Well....another spin on this. I did one Ifr flight while I was there, vmc departure, from cypk, and my clearance from the ground, was only to climb over the airport and contact terminal for a further onward clearance while in a shuttle climb. No problem vmc, ....but not so good if it was an IMC dep...

Re: Wind cancels YEG flights
Uncoordinated, inability to move aircraft, and 2+ hour flow times? YEG is great when both it's runways are open, and even with one runway ops they still move traffic better then Calgary does. Yes, the way YEG manages to move 40+ movements in an hour on non-intersecting runways is something to behol...

To the point where I can recognize voices and immediately know what to expect, and in some cases that I'm going to have an imminent transponder "failure". Re: Questions for CYYC Terminal? Ask here
YUL is just a poorly drawn up airport. It's AAR is lower because in all honestly, it has 1.5 arrival runways instead of 2. Dont even bother counting rwy 10/28. It's a taxiway more than a runway nowadays. Thenoflyzone 1.5 *may* be a little bit of a lowball figure, but it does help put into perspecti...
