Re: Looking for help building time

Jesus, no, don't pay for a skydiving course. I did, and I never used it, and regret every penny spent. It's stupid. Go to VFC or Ocean Air and get a float rating and 25 hours on floats; then start looking for a job anywhere in the country. I got hired with 22.3 hours of float time, flying a 185 on f...

Buncha babies. There hasn't been helicopters at that airport for three months now.... And Cessna's aren't very loud.

None at all, as long as it's not in the cockpit.

Most of us drink, right? Just not in the cockpit. (for the record, I don't smoke weed, ever, but I don't have any issue with those who do)

Has anyone on here worked there for a summer? Got an offer from there and was wondering what you thought about it. PM me if you'd like, or post away here! There's lots of other posts in regards to working for Amik Outposts/lac seul airway's. Lots of guys started with John and Rena. And are still fl...

I think even the CS100 will be one of the bigger ones into LCY. It's E170s, Avro RJs and A318s right now, isn't it?

Re: C Series lands at EGLC. Toronto Island loses out. Again.

Not to throw water in the fire but how would the CASM of a full c series compare to a 3/4 full wide body? If that is really close to the same then it would probably have a shot at doing more direct routing. On a side note I think I saw somewhere about an operator doing a 60 pax all business configu...

How many jazz. wj encore f/o hold second jobs and / or part time casual flying job due to low pay . :?: Due to "low pay"? None. They actually ask you in the Encore interview how you're going to afford living in Toronto on such low pay. Toronto is hardly more expensive than Calgary, Edmonton, ...

Re: Demand for float drivers 2017?

So, how are things shaping up this season? I've been sending out tonnes of applications to every Tom, Dick and Harry operation but haven't gotten much in replies. Any wet low timers had much luck yet? I've got an answer back from SkyDive Toronto and the place with the Otter that you get to fly righ...

WestJet almost puts one in the drink

Coming into TNCM. http://christinenegroni.com/westjet-denies-close-call-caught-camera-st-maarten/ “According to the information I have been given there was nothing unusual about the first approach,” said Lauren Stewart, a spokeswoman for the Calgary-based carrier. Guys, have some respect. She's been instructing out of Victoria and using the Duncan airport for training for over 10 years. I don't know exactly what happened, but it's not as though she/they don't know what abort points are when it comes to a short field landing/takeoff. It is a tragic accident. ...

Re: Pilot in Waiting

I don't see many ads willing to put 200 hour guys in the pilot's seat yet. You're worth what you think you're worth. After 2 years on the ramp, how many hours will you have? TWO HUNDRED! Do the math. I know it's tough. Illya Oh I'm not disagreeing with you haha. But I'd work a dock for six weeks if...

He seems to be trolling from what I gather, but you're right! I know a few CP's that will throw it right in the garbage if they see that on a resume. Why? Re: SkyDive Toronto

I believe the ire is caused because the organization runs a very expensive and lucrative ground and flight training course to transition to the mighty Cessna 182, with many young pilots believing that it will guarantee them a seat earning time by flying jumpers; alas, so the theory goes, only one p...
