Re: Why now is the time to go to encore
The big difference between AC and WJ is the CAPT age demographic. Those calculating career wage comparisons had better factor in the younger WJ Capt average age factor AND the relative growth possibilities. Each time AC adds a WB aircraft it creates 10+ left seat opportunities vs 5-6 on an NB. WJ i...

Re: Why now is the time to go to encore
sounds more like you're selling Yes a whole career but it will take you just that, your whole career to play it out. IMO, and again this is just my opinion, someone with 3,500 could go AC, be captain in 5-10 years pending this retirement jump and skip all the back and forth non sense. If encore too...

Re: Jet naked
Flight attendants pay for their training and they only get paid when aircraft is wheels up. I dont know how it is now, but it seems to me that one of Canada's beloved airlines used to only pay their Owner/FAs from door closed to door open,,,,a case of degree, rather than difference. And the other p...

Hi As advertised, slowly but surly things will continue to improve. I think this is a great step forward. Wide body talks are done, a final draft of language is now in play (and almost done to roll out). The pilots will have to vote on it yet. Mum on the type ;) What will be tough is all the work m...

Re: Air Canada Rouge to Begin Toronto Direct to Honolulu
http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1361925/air-canada-rouge-expands-to-hawaii I've heard the legroom is bad enough on those 3-4 hour flights. How long is YYZ-HNL?? Plus, the YVR-HNL and YVR-OGG routes will be converted from Mainline to Rouge as well. It seems that the Rouge empire is expanding with no...

Yup because there's a long list of handouts..........rac007 wrote:And I predict that in another 12 to 24 months AC and Rouge will be struggling and they will get yet another handout from the feds.
Can you provide proof of any of them........

Re: WestJet dings a winglet, borrows one from SouthWest
WestJet just sold (or traded) some of their 700's to Southwest for some of their 800's. Probably just took it off one of the birds going to WestJet. "Here - take the winglet and you don't even have to send it back!" Westjet sold the 10 700s to Southwest. The 10 800s are coming new from Boeing, they...

If you're gonna ramp, do it at Buffalo and .........learn some work ethic and actual operating knowledge. My experience with the Cariboo rampies in AB is that they are lazy with no real professionalism. To me they seem like they are just waiting for there spot in the right seat of a king air with d...

Re: North Cariboo Air
If you're going to work the ramp for NCA, do it in Ft St John. That way when you get into a machine you have a chance at advancing. YYC and YEG are career dead ends unless you have Contrails multi PIC time. I wouldn't call it a "career dead end" but it does move a bit slower than other carriers. If...

UUW is not in the Cariboo fleet. Last I knew it was parked Langley. Some parts from it have shown up on current aircraft though.turbo-prop wrote:It is still probably leased to Cariboo. Wouldn't be the first time an owner has done it.
