Yes, it is online. We support all common browsers, firefox, safari, chrome, etc..

There is even a mobile version of the site that we've tested on blackberries and iphones.

Re: Aerobatic Training

Besides that, it's sad to say, but a very large percentage of pilots in Canada are cheap - and don't want to pay for this type of training. Yeah, it really is a shame. I think it's important from a safety point of view that you experience "true" unusual attitudes and not just spins/spirals. Learnin...

CAP Available Online (Get it while you can!)

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but Nav Canada has provided the CAPs online (temporarily). You can find them at the bottom of: http://www.navcanada.ca/NavCanada.asp?Language=EN&Content=ContentDefinitionFiles/Publications/AeronauticalInfoProducts/AIP/Current/default.xml They are going to disappear...

That's exactly it. I just want to get some extra experience with unusual attitudes. I think it would totally help with confidence and preparedness.

Not to mention fun! :)

Re: AWOS, AWIS, AWBS, FSS/FIC, W1, W2

I dont bother memorizing what they mean, because its outlined in the CFS itself. Take a look at page A58 in the current (Dec 17th) edition. They list all the weather services and what they offer.

Almost 4 years later....

Same question... present day. Anyone have any suggestions for aerobatic training in Southern Ontario? A few of the places mentioned previously in this post have broken websites or are out of business.

Re: Some Advice

If you don't mind adding 45 min to your drive or so, check out Toronto Airways (www.torontoairways.ca). I did my multi rating there on a Seminole and had no complaints.

I went for a flight on Sunday.. Noticed the same thing.

I had both radios tuned to 126.7 and the CFA... I think this frustration will pass soon enough. Just some growing pains.

CZYZ Changes

Just wondering... any controllers out there have any opinion on the new changes to the Toronto Airspace? I know that it mostly affects VFR traffic... but is there any changes to the IFR side of things? I for one welcome to the changes to the VTA/VNC... whenever they eventually become available to bu...

YYZ and "Close up the approach"

One of the things I often here YYZ controllers ask is "do you want to close up the approach" and was wondering what exactly this means. From what I can tell it seems to occur for smaller aircraft (AC Jazz etc.) and it almost seems like they do it as a favour but often aircraft decline the offer and ...

CYXU, General Aviation and Terminal Building

Just a quick question.

I landed at London the other day and wanted to head to the main terminal building for some timmies.

Ground controller said I wasn't able to "due to security reasons". Anyone know what those reasons would be?
