"The 16 hrs driving would fly by compared to whatever flight time you would spend wondering if you re about to die..."
Wise advice.
I got a roof rack for my CRX, it'll be enough of an adventure on the highway.

I've bought a canoe. I've a cessna 182. I've questions.
Hey all, Bought a canoe in the province next door, Saskatchewan. It's an 16 hour round trip to fetch it. My contacts in the airline world, WJ cargo, will be of no assistance apparently as the my 17' foot canoe is 7' too long to get in the cargo pit. May investigate this further with a tape measure. ...

Check this out: https://www.iridium.com/products/details/iridiumgo It was my plan for the corporate C90. Never did implement it but it fit the bill for the corporate gig. Cell phones are UHF & ADFs are LF or MF so there shouldn't be interference ... Worst thing for an Lf/MF nav aid like the ADF is a...

Re: Bill Wehrle passed away
Never had a conversation with Bill, got a chance to meet him once though when he got out of his Duke. What he started at Perimeter's flight training department was the reason I moved across the country to learn and eventually instruct on twin engine airplanes though. He was a real ground breaker in ...

Re: Fido cell phone customers
Okay, well I think I'll try my plan on Fido's and sweetie's on Virgin as I think we've a Virgin sim card kicking around. FONGO replied to my email. If my plan is a dud I can port my number out of FONGO. I turned off my wifi and called mom on FONGO today. I'd only two to three bars of reception but t...

Re: Fido cell phone customers
I've already ported the number. I've been using FONGO for about a month and a half. However, I have not used it on cellular much. It works impeccably on every wifi connection I've had though. I'll have to see how that goes. Facetime audio seems to work decent enough whenever I use it on cellular tho...

Re: Fido cell phone customers
Ah, this is good to know. I'm not locked in so I'll cancel and try someone else out if I have to. Bell will not let you tether your device which is a dirty little move on their part. I'm only in major cities at work so the network should be good for most of my travels. Roam mobility still looks expe...

Fido cell phone customers
I'm looking for a fellow aviation type person who has a relationship with Fido for their cell phone plan or tablet. What I need is a referral number code. If you dial 6-1-1 on your Fido phone and speak to one of the customer service agents they will give you a code. Give me that code over a PM and I...

I asked one of the Wind representatives about roaming fees in Canada when not on their network. They said if you've the unlimited package there isn't any. I'm only considering the unlimited package. If I didn't interpret the rep. wrong it's a good deal I figure.
