Airborne is the best company I've ever worked for. They have come a long way in the last couple years. Many Rotary guys would say they suck, but thats because it's was a stepping stone for choppers and they havent been there for awhile. Again things are different, especialy in the fixed wing side. A...

A MINIMUM of 60 hours. If your not well prepared for each leson it could take more time. Ensure that you have enough financing for any event. You would be back at the bottom of the barrel. If you had no experiane in fixed wing than it would be harder, because you couldn't hit up the operators with b...

I enjoy a nice relaxing day at the gun range, bustin off a thousand rounds of surplus soviet or nato ammunition. It's breathtaking, and so loud that you cant hear any planes going over. For that matter you cant hear the three squad cars pulling up behind you either. Guess what province I currently l...

To much of a travel show focusing on the destination, not enough aviation. No 'Flightpath' if you know what I'm saying. Anyone know if Flightpath is still to be found? Johns episode hangin with the Air Cadets certainly took me back. Now if W.O.C. was more like real aviation, says an a@#hole manager ...

Canada purchased 656 of them. when you drive through any town of size in canada it seems theres one on a pedestal with a low number. The tail numbering follows 133 [for a/c type] i.e 133656.

How bout silly little jets go bracelets right next to the Tsunami ones on the counters in 7-11. Maybe Walmart will have a day of "would you like to add a dollar to your total to help support jets go victims". Sorry your out of work people, but by spending 30K you willingly bought a non redeamable pi...

Lick me loser
All I was eluding to was that nationality has nothing to do with why an aircraft crashes. Stating twice in almost as many words that it's Canadian made me almost as mad as you.

I dont want to play devils advocate but he's not an air force pilot. He would be an ex air force officer who flunked pilot training. Now before anyone gets emotional I think it's possible for someone in your shoes to go to the regionals fairly easy. Do the instructor rating today and build time wher...

It has to do with attitude. Civy operators won't touch you if they think your just gonna cost them a couple hundred thousand or worse. They've seen it time and again where a low timer gets a couple hundred hours and thinks he gods gift to aviation, only to find out the hard way........ All I implyin...

Usualy with ex mil pilots problems are encountered when they have to push, load, fuel, clean, tent aircraft ect, all by themselves sometimes [my lord] and fly [cant forget that one] Many have created the stereotype for being ####### equipment and difficult to train or re-train into a certain compani...

I was in CYEV filming CF-18 scramble for the Korean 747. Later that day I flew a Navajo to Old Crow with a northwest-tel tech to fix the phones. On the way I had arctic radio tell me that Cheyenne Mountain wanted to know exactly what I was doing, heading straight for US airspace. Told them I was cle...

S-92 who cares.

Tilt Rotor Baby. Thats what I'm aiming at. Hopefully by the time I have some solid chopper experiance, it'll be in service. Living in Halifax, cottage on the gulf shore, some land in the valley near the fam, thats the dream.

Gotta haul parts to Ft St. John. Cheers

One requirment is to enjoy making around $700 every two weeks, as two different guys told me yesterday. And be willing to accept that for awhile because upgrade times for new hires are getting longer and looonger.
