Re: Are AC pilots known as 'Frost Backs' now?
Just on layover in NYC and ran into a United crew Asked some specifics about our contract and were surprised on the verification of some things they have heard Mentioned there is a nickname now for AC pilots? "Frost Backs" Apparently they don't appreciate being undercut by our comical wages & condi...

Re: More transport medical delays : PSAC strike
They might be striking but in reality, I'm sure a IT system designer could create an online system that works and replaces all of the TC medical processing for a pittance compared to their aggregate yearly salary. IT solutions to government bloat are becoming increasingly viable. Soon, CBDCs and bl...

Re: ‘‘Twas the night before ALPA
How have WJ pilots done under ALPA? Jazz? Bearskin.. lol? Haha... unions are a reflection of their membership. If you took cargo concessions under ACPA during a cargo boom.. why would it be any different with another union? I mean.. I hope for the best, but as someone with no skin in the game eithe...

Re: Negots Committee - Elephant in the room
Now we have 35% of the group turning out for the NC survey ? The farce continues, the vocal minority steering the ship....headed for the rocks so because 65% of the pilot group are backseaters who wanna let everyone else do the work, we are headed for the rocks? I'm proud of the work so far and tho...

Re: Negots Committee - Elephant in the room
If no one is happy with what ALPA has brought at Jazz or WJ and we have the same monkeys running AC ALPA Why are we voting in a new union that will be the same dogs breakfast they have proven everywhere else. It's amazing to me how people don't understand that the union won't magically change thing...

So we voted down an MOA with 80%+ in the fall, negotiated by ACPA lead by JR and HE. Now we have a negots committee still lead by these 2, plus 1 PBS guy, 1 CMSC and 1 guy with an MBA. The PBS guy, CMSC guy and MBA guy have worked on committees for a combined 24 months?Their diapers are still wet a...

Re: Seneca College delayed training times ?
Sault college had/has issues as well so it is not just them sadly. Look up Sault college here and other sites, parents sued the school for poor class size management. It’s government funded per student, so the more students the more funding. What was shocking though was a YouTube post by a student ...

Honest question as a relative noob... Is this the first agreement where this is NOT in the benefit of the company? I have only seen concessions since being here. Hopefully this a road to solid gains! MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The Air Canada Pilots Association says it has reached an agreement in principle...

Re: Chickens come home to roost for Flair Airlines
If anything happens to Flair this will not be good for wage and working conditions in this country. I bet AC management is salivating over all these Boeing qualified guys being available soon. Doesn't matter. Being "Boeing qualified" doesn't mean you'll be flying a Boeing at AC. Boeing, RJ, Embraer...

Re: Are Air Canada pilots the lowest paid in the world?
Naturally to fix the pay problem at Air Canada and improve its pay, FOUR LOOONNNG years of flat pay have to disappear! That's where it starts! At the very least, that will raise the scale by four years. Everyone seems to focus so much on US pay, but they forget that the starting pay there is around...

Rumore going around all cpts will be able to give picus. If the union gave on that maybe a deal is being made? PICUS is company policy, has nothing to do with them Union. 600,000USD a year that is  time to convert those licenses (if only it was that easy) If you have decent experience it is easy enough. Conversion is easy, and getting an EB2 visa although a lengthy process, is proving successful for many applicants. If you really want it, go for it! Don't the...

I think he meant no stand ups and inefficient pairings. As in 1-2 short legs a day so your 4 days work is 18-20 credit hours. That sure is happening here. Working 17-18 days a month unless you’re in the top 10% where you can pick the few higher credit pairings. ah, still.. hated CDs when I was there
