I wonder how close it comes to the money they saved by making Boeing buy back half of the jungle jet fleet.

that WILL put downward pressure on Canadian salaries. Fixed it for you. If an operators main game is to provide low cost flying, where do you think the money for that will come from? WAWCON thats where. And if you as the low cost operator price yourselves below your competitor, the competitor will ...

Re: Norwegian Air

What am I missing? Understanding on how the industry works. The simple fact is there is not a pilot shortage. And even if there was one, that doesnt mean wages will increase. That basic, folklore-like thinking about economics isnt so. Just because there isnt people to do a job doesnt mean that wage...

Re: Career First Officer at AC by design?

Pilots are quick to point the finger at eachother, but everybody's situation is different. I was not on property when 4 year flat pay was voted on, nor was I around for DC pension, Rouge, Sky Regional, and every other wonderful gesture the previous generation of pilots left me to deal with. So that...

The shit airline that is also ALPA banned, #denyNAI . They contribute to the dilution of pilots and the industry as a whole. Good riddance.

I heard a rumor once that WS just cancels flights if they overbook. Easier than owning up to the fact that they infact, do overbook.

What does that mean. Why don't you speak up, use your words, there really is no limit to the amount of characters you can use, this isn't twitter. Try to bring something constructive to the conversation.
You need to settle down.

Having minimal seniority spread sucks, and will suck more with time.

No one should give their skill away for free. Otherwise theyll end up like pilots, underpaid, bitter, and on Ice Pilots TV.

J Class breakfast

Anyone know what that white paste is/was on the J breakfast? Ive asked before and the FAs believe it might be hot cottage cheese. Others are unsure. Found on domestic and transborder flights, came with the egg log, sausage, salsa mix, and potato wedges. It was delicious.

Re: L1011

I think that Douglas had to mount the DC10 wing engines well inboard due to the small vertical fin with limited rudder authority. Lockheeds' more elegant and expensive S duct design allowed for a full span rudder, which allowed the wing engines to be set much further outboard, a better option for l...

Re: Why does anyone want to work at WestJet?

I've had a situation where the 2 other Captains had had a disagreement during the layover and were not talking to each other. Communication ran through me sitting on the jumpseat. It was a very uncomfortable flight but as long as safety wasn't being compromised I figured it was better not to interv...
