after reading the story, i wasn't as interested in the controller having a nap, as the two crews that landed without clearance... granted all the facts aren't detailed in the report and by no means am i comparing the crews to myself but i am sitting here asking my self...hmmmm if i were in that situ...

i believe there was a post on here a few months ago about the same thing in calgary. military mid-air refueling, most likely on the way to alaska. the hornets are back in inuvik this week as well so who knows, might have had something to do with that?

i think he was talking about the size of the trees around the cabin, not the fact that there were trees above the arctic circle. here in Inuvik trees come in many shapes and sizes, including ones that look similar the the trees around the couple's cabin.

doc, first off i really respect your posts. the information you've posted on here in the past has helped many a young pilot. why do we only have ourselves to blame? easy for someone like yourself who has had a wonderful career to say. my question is, why didn't your generation do something about it?...

i noticed that too. i'd put my money on the production company mixing up footage, and what we saw was some training before the ride. i'm sure the combination of so much video to sort through and limited aviation knowledge leads to quite a bit of this on the show. i do enjoy watching them though. jet.

hey airdude, couple questions for ya...first, where up north did ya work? second, could you go into more detail about your schedules at the various stages of your corporate flying. were you beeper bound most of the time etc?
