Re: LAs Vegas
Last time I flew Continental, you could upgrade for about $70 for the whole trip, one way. Not a bad deal on a long flight

He does the annuals for most of the planes based here, and he knows pretty much everything there is to know about small piston engine pl...

I've done the CAMC course twice now as recurrent training. It's not too bad, but a bit of a joke if you ask me.

Re: inspection questions
If I remember correctly, I believe you can do the inspection at any time, even outside the 10% tolerance, as long as you track what you did, sign it out as you go, and keep doing those particular tasks every 100 hours, or whatever your inspection interval is. There is a technical term for that type ...

Re: lay offs 9 days before xmas
Then Field must be totally closing the door then. There is already nobody there, but they are making more money probably leasing out the hanger space. All it said was that the MRO facility was being shut down but the Parts Manufacturing and Engineering was still going. I have no idea how many peopl...

Re: Any one else out there
I presume you are referring to being bent over for your license renewal? At least we don't have to get the annual (or semi-annual as they get older) medicals like the pilots do.

Depending on the aircraft, the skytrac system shouldn't take more than 2 days to install. The antenna is quite small, approx 5 inches by 2 inches and low profile, its a dual antenna, GPS and Iridium sat phone in one. Are you planning on using it as a sat phone system as well as tracking? Mounting th...
