Re: Sky regional
thanks for the info and reminder, I mistakenly posted an old image as my spreadsheet actually had some of the info you provided already, so here's an updated comparison of regionals. Thanks to all that have given me info over the past few months.

Re: WJ vs. AC......performance
Maybe someone can explain this 'adjusted net income' to me in layman's terms, is it just putting lipstick on a pig? Or is there another reason, as it looks like WJ doesn't report it this way... :?: Don't worry about interpreting any company's results - the best way to gauge the truth behind any new...

Re: Air Canada Pool
it's not just the pay but the potential schedule that in my opinion is worth it's weight in gold. It's pretty tough to find a better schedule anywhere else once you collect a bit of seniority

I also got the pfo email. A little frustrating as I currently have over 7000 hours and over 2000 hours A320 PIC. No degree I graduated high school with a CPL so I wasn't eligible to attend a College program for aviation. I was an instructor at Seneca College when I was 21. Some of my old students a...

Re: Career move where to go
Congrats on having 2 options!! Lots of considerations - I think it all depends on what's your end game? If you ultimately want to fly bigger metal, i.e. 737, 320's, 787's, etc. go for the bigger metal, the ATR is good experience for moving on to the next level. Hmm.... 25,000-35,000ish lbs ATR exper...

Re: Accept this job offer?
Another note, hrs aside... the bigger and/or faster the metal you are flying the greater the potential you will have in finding your ideal flying position with decent income. Don't stay on the bottom of the ladder, when the King is a great step up. I think it will set you up for the next level i.e. ...

Re: Pilot-In-Waiting
I was watching Ice Pilots the other day - episode was probably 1 year old, and the pilot in waiting rampie on the show had been there doing the sheet jobs for 9 months before he touched a plane, then got checked out for FO. Even after that, it didn't appear he was going to fly any schedule, they wer...

I wasn't knocking the aircraft at all, agree that they are solid aircraft for sure, just that the metal was expiring.

Re: Kelowna DC10's at YYZ are done.
Really sad to hear this, more good pilots getting the boot. Is this a result of Medve leaving another company in shambles during her tenure? or cargojet being superior? or was it all planned? I really couldn't see how KF was even going to be able to handle another Purolator/CP contract or even inter...

Re: Air Canada Pool
One thing to note is that PML 2.0 won't really change things that much as hiring will be done proportionally from all carriers. Jazz which is 80% right now on PML 1.0 will go to about 76% on PML 2.0 by my calculations given the size of the pilot groups of Jazz, SKY, GGN, EVAS. One long timer on here...
