ndb : Look at it this way, larger faster airplanes are equipped with TCAS for identification of other aircraft that may be a hazzard to them. Also these aircraft fly considerably faster than light aircraft if you have a mode C transponder and it is on it gives the crew in the faster airplane a proxi...

Ahramin: Those short stories were written by me and if I ever get around to doing it seriously I will have them checked by someone who understands the art of writing.... The guy who built my web site used them and I have not bothered to edit them any more than they are now.... Right now I am working...

I am appalled at the ignorance that is evident in this discussion. I certainly hope that anyone who thinks that having a working transponder and does not turn it on is not a licenced pilot. And if you are of the mind set that stealthing to avoid detection is the way to go I would not want to be in y...

Further to Co-Joe's comments. The written exam for PRM is. Quote: Difficult and confusing. ( From a Report complied and paid for by TC) As further proof that the exam needed to be changed the Regional Director, Civil Aviation ( Pacific Region ) was ordered to make changes to said exam by the Office ...

TC is determined to ailenate as many people on both sides of the fence as they can through the manditory AOR system that is in force. The FSS people have no choice but to file these AOR's. We on the other hand have choices when contacted by enforcement asking questions regarding an AOR. Soon if you ...

We usually have some hint of what the job being offered entails..usually we have little choice and grab a job anyhow, sometmes we luck in and find a good employer and good equipment. As to the two crew operations the learning...

I found the pilot monitered approach to be the easiest and safest method. Of course you are hooped for using this method if flying single pilot...which I no longer do.... An IFR pilot monitered approach has the added safety factor of no need to transition from the instruments to an outside envioreme...

Flying in cloud is far easier and far more accurate than flying VFR.

Its all a matter of getting used to it.

Get ahold of K D Air in Qualicum Beach 1-800-665-4244 and ask for Lars.

They were one of the first in Canada to get approval for GPS appproaches.

If anyone would know Lars should as he has been through all the B.S.
