Re: Environmental impact of aviation

Except for the guy who preaches most about "doing better". He's flying around in a 737-800 for himself, and a 737-200 for his costumes. B...

Who are these guys? Hiring CRJ and 1900 crews; CRJ captain ad wants 1000 Jet and 300 on type. Requirements seem pretty steep unless they plan on convincing Jazz crews to come over or are trying to sponsor some new permanent residents with the requirements... Seems to be a subsidiary of a South Afri...

Re: Boeing Max.
I have seen the Max's parked on West Jets ramp in YYC. They have removed the Max name from the side of the fuselage. It now shows Boeing 737-8. They have always said 737-8. Just look at photos taken before the grounding. For example: https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5114794 Or: https://www.airliners.net/ph...

Re: Are Amber Alerts affecting your flight safety?
All newer Android phones have something called Priority Mode. It allows you to choose what wakes you up while blocking the sound of everything else including Amber Alerts. On my phone the only thing that can and does wake me up is a call from Crew Sked and my wake up alarm. You can choose which cont...

Is Northern Thunderbird Air not around anymore? I havent been in the game for a while.I guess they were part of CMA. NT Air and CMA 1900s are all dual registered. I don't believe Carson has any 1900's, unless they recently acquired one. Also, Georgian is no longer utilizing the 1900 as far as I kno...

Re: Float Rating Newfoundland
Luckily you don't need a flight school for a seaplane rating. You just need to find someone who meets the CAR 425.21(6) requirement, which is just about anyone who owns a floatplane. (6) A person who conducts flight training toward the issuance of a landplane class rating or a seaplane class rating ...
