Re: 50 hrs. on floats vs. 15 hrs. + MEIFR
Isn't this like asking, "I want to buy a used car. Would it be better if I borrowed five dollars from my aunt or asked my dad to give me eight dollars?" The multi Instrument could both be an advantage and simultaneously be a way to get into trouble. Then again you could possibly fly approaches and l...

Re: F-35 can't take the F-16 in a dog fight?
Super Hornets are way cheaper. Canada would be spending ridiculous money on F-35's when the military flies helicopters that barely get through a flight. F-35's are way cheaper. Canada would be spending ridiculous money to upgrade the Super Hornet when the rest of the allies fly 5th generation fight...

Re: Clear Left/Right
Easy Trey. I don't know if I would can an instructor because they don't want me asking questions, indicating I'm worried they are not doing the task at hand. I agree with you it is important enough to be worried about but.. If I am busy doing something, I might get annoyed when you ask if I am doing...

It has been a pretty serious offense to even say it as a joke since William Shunn did it in YYC in the eighties.

I changed the title since it's not fighting any fire yet but night soon. Anyone else see or hear anything or is this just a rumour? Edit: Source, Facebook BC firefighters picture saying it launched. Aha. Edit 2: they are flight testing it. Should be ready on the ninth. http://www.albernivalleynews.c...

Re: Dispute for featherweight electronic device champion!
I see what you are saying, plus you are likely to already be packing some form of "smart" phone around these days.
Maybe someone should set up a little rental stand near the transport testing office. Or an online used re-sale dealer.

Frozen chicken or roast in the morning becomes a delicious family meal in around 8 hours. That means evening meal plus leftovers for a single guy. That's why I bought my first microwave -- get you dinner out of the freezer and get home 6 days later -- damn -- that was ripe :smt040 -- knock a fly of...

Re: Dispute for featherweight electronic device champion!
Well, the poll choices there are the "accepted device" list allowed in the Transport Canada exam room for use on written tests copied and pasted... I never thought of buying one before either. Then again at one point in time I could use a manual E-6B. Sorry I forgot to add some alternate choices. I ...

If you were going to buy an electronic flight calculator which one would you buy?
This could be in flight training even though currently it is not.
*Well, just Canada maybe?

A crockpot also known as a slow cooker is spectacular. Frozen chicken or roast in the morning becomes a delicious family meal in around 8 hours. Re: SEL Spam Can - Xcountry tools to bring
I just bring a leatherman and that's that. I've never had to take anything apart on a cross country, and that includes some across the country types. Besides I've also never had a issue borrowing tools, hangars or anything else if needed. Agreed, I have only ever taken pilot stuff and spare clothes...
