Re: When HRSDC has to chose between Canadians and Foreigners

So if they still have to do training, there must be a cost to that! So why give an opportunity to Foreign Contract Pilots and not a Canadian Licenced (well qualified) Pilot? The cost of training sounds like a lot, but the tax payers will still be paying for the unemployed pilot anyways! What morally...

Re: Letter to Erica Usher of CIC

If looking out for the Canadian pilot isn't good enough to fight for this, what about the uneducated general public, also Canadian citizens, who board an aircraft from another country, flown by pilot from another country, who is not necessarily governed by Transport Canada! The Canadian passengers s...

Re: 900 New jobs at Air Canada LCC

I don't care much about how old they are as long as they can do their job safely! However, on the last 2 flights I took on AC with my son, NOT ONE FA lifted a hand to any passenger boarding, not even a pax carrying a bag in one hand and a baby in the other! After all boarding done and a late push ba...

Re: Oh the sky keeps falling......

Let's look at this another way. If Jazz didn't have any RJs, how would that affect the salary for pilots flying the Dash 8?

Now to confuse things, is the pay the same on the classic Dash compares to the almighty Q400?

Using a Seneca 2 - Turbo Charged for Multi Training

Is it ok to use a turbo charged Seneca for multi training? If so, are there any cautions to keep in mind?

Re: YVR Crash Pad

If you can't find a crash pad, the Delta at the airport has a rate of $50 per night for Air Canada crews. Shuttle to airport every half hour. Very comfortable!

Re: Additional Training

I've never hired for a 705, but if a company hires you for because you've improved your French or took a course on glass cockpit, I would be very surprised! Get a 737 NG type rating (joking of course). My advice is to keep flying and get experience and while you're doing that, keep applying to bigge...

Well even if the Flight Crews worked for free, it would still be $2836!

Ignore JetJob, He was let go from Future Air for being too hairy.
Let go...or LEFT? Future Air has lost 5 great instructors in the past year and a half. The flying was crap and the prospects for moving up in the company were nil. Don't get hung up there!
