Re: Laser Eye Surgery
It's obviously been proven as a great, beneficial procedure... if the the Yanks are doing it for their Air Force guys....well. But that still doesn't explain why some countries won't have you due to the surgery?? Where's the flaw/downside? Why would a country like Japan say, sorry sir, you've had la...

Re: Laser Eye Surgery
... good whiplash or blow to the head could actually knock that piece of eye loose that was previously cut off. I'm wondering if good shot of turbulence could do the same. Just a thought. Like any other body tissue, sure, if you disturbed it the day of or the day after surgery, the unhealed tissue ...

Re: Laser Eye Surgery
Having had this done, the concept that anyone could "knock part of your eye loose" is very very VERY hard to believe. The eye is a very dynamic organ.Besides, with Lasik, it's a flap, it's not completely severed. I'm trying to picture that happening.. LOL. The surgery I saw on Discovery was complet...

Re: The bail out gets the chibosh!!!
When I read what all of you so called professionals and experts have to say about politics and industry, I wonder why none of your energies are focused on what happened to a young girl on a Manitoba reserve. The trial has just ended and that a child had to suffer this kind of indignity, pain, suffe...

I am also against it. Didn't say at first... was waiting to see what others thought. Like I said earlier, don't need it anyway, don't even wear glasses. But I do find it very interesting that you can be disqualified for the surgery in certain countries. Would these countries have passed you on the m...

Re: FIRST ONE TO BUFFALO GETS A CHECKOUT
Good point ef. Guys straight out of flight school generally have attitudes. And some of those attitudes are really out there and need to be knocked down a peg. The ramp is good way of doing that... I guess. Changing seats in the van... I remember doing it so much on the ramp that it made me cringe w...

Re: Laser Eye Surgery
I don't wear glasses but have talked to quite a few people who have had it done. One of my buddy's mom's did and her eyes got even worse after a few months but this is when it was still sort of new. A really good friend of mine did it and told me about how they cut part of your eye off and put it ba...

Re: Looking for townships to Trap Minnows
I never did try step-taxi turns with a float raised...just never felt comfortable with it. I've heard of old timers that would go around in circles on the lakes on one float with the outside wing a few inches off the water...just to get speed to get out of a raunchy minnow hole. Faaaack!!! ...

I don't think it's wrong to work the dock or ramp... that's what I did and worked out for me as it did for most people out there. But I would like to know why everyone keeps bringing up McDonald's... it's not the only job out there. Go swing a hammer or bash tin. Get a job in a yard that has heavy e...

What would this cost as far as plane, licenses... well everything I guess? Also, what kind of profits are we talking here? This has become very interesting. And could you also provide some info on the cost of using the Cub or Husky... mx., fuel, etc. I guess what I'm asking for some extensive detail...

Yeah, I guess I don't know much about the gas-powered V-dub's but I owned a Golf TDI, which I ended up selling to my folks. I loved it and so did they. Drove from YK to T Bay for 200 bucks and like Driving Rain mentioned... keep up with that preventative mx. and things will all right. My folks loved...

If you could go out and buy a brand new vehicle right now... or actually, one car and one truck, what would they be? And as far as cars go, I don't mean Ferrari's and Lambo's... Personally, I would have a Toyota Tundra and VW Jetta TDI. I would have said Passat, but it doesn't currently come in the ...
