Re: NEW ULCCs
Do cabin crew bring pitchers of tap water for service on the flight? If I was on a bus would I demand water be served? Bring a bottle of water or two knowing they don't serve water. Buses don't have security stopping you from bringing water on board. Using your same argument: "If I was on a bus wou...

Re: Free Money Management Advice.
I've actually done pretty well with both over the last 2 years or so. Closely watching the cannabis market right now, given the recent news. I'm out of all crypto, it was a good ride but I think my money is better invested elsewhere.

You mean I can't just buy a bunch of bitcoin and cannabis stocks and expect to retire in a few years?
Shucks.

Re: The missing F/A Passport in YWG...and detaining all the passengers for questioning?
It was one of the crew's passports. We have to be in possession of them at all times domestic or not while working. How would they even know it's missing? Mine stays in my bag until I need it. I don't randomly "check" to see if it's there. Fishy is right... I can think of many plausible reasons a F...

Re: Is the trainer you fly and start with important to an career in aviation?
Hi guys. I am currently looking to get my PPL and CPL with one of the flight schools located in Boundary Bay Airport (closest location to me from East Vancouver area via Knight Bridge). My goal is to work for one of the major airlines. I have 0 flight experience but am very eager to learn. My quest...

Re: Wow, you really do get what you pay for
So you were in FRA and flew to YYZ on a full fare WOW ticket via Iceland? Are you not able to book ZEDs on other airlines? There are direct options from FRA with ZEDs. Suggest you read the first post. Sorry, maybe I'm not reading it right? I really do enjoy using my zed fare tickets on AC. Has save...

Re: Northern Skies Pikangikum
Does anyone know where the 'Wheels down" as in 'What is your wheels down time? or as Illya says 'Wheels down in five" came from. I think I've only heard that in northern Manitoba. Everybody uses it instead of “Fort Whatever in Five.....”. Like nobody is intelligent enough to know that means LANDING...

Re: Wow, you really do get what you pay for
I've ZED fared from Can to Europe and back numerous times including flights within Europe. Often in biz class.. I've never had problems other than the odd bump here and there but the idea is you should have a back up, or the three. You can't really complain about loads when your get fares for so lit...

That's depressing... Why depressing? Experienced people is a good thing. Likely because kids sufferering from entitlement issues don’t like being told no. Hardly, I'm in the seat that pays more at the Canadian regional of my choice. What's depressing is that they are making they move now... there w...

Lol @ average Canadian salary...
Do average Canadians have 74 lives in their hands? Did they sleep in hotels 15 nights a month? Are they required to always be ready for the inevitable?
Troll.

Re: Time to have a real conversation about pay and our contract
Hence why I've applied at many other airlines. As soon as people realize there's a big world out there and are willing to leave what used to be an amazing county, the sooner you'll be paid what you're worth.

Re: ATR vs Dash
I travel on a Canadian airline that operates the Q400 I can guarantee that the Q does not stand for quiet like Bombardier advertised. It does, just put the windshield wipers up , make sure the nvs is not inop , throttle back and get a better headset. I always chuckle when pilots complain about the ...

Re: Time to have a real conversation about pay and our contract
Go take a look at Qantaslinks pay and working conditions on the Q. Better in some, maybe a bit worse in others but the pay is so much more. $65k to start in the right seat, $110k in the left. Plus around $20k in other top ups. Work a bit more days per month (18, but let's be honest lots of Jazz pilo...
