Re: Gabor Lukacs and CBC shit all over Air Canada - again
I almost called this thread the Gabor Lukacs Super Thread so we could post every time the CBC and him get together and kiss.
I wonder how long it will be before he tries to sue avcanada for defamation.

Gabor Lukacs and CBC shit all over Air Canada - again
Well well well... Looks like Gabor and his boyfriend the CBC are at at again! https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/air-canada-under-fire-for-lost-luggage-and-misleading-on-compensation-limits-1.4933798 "Airlines are deceiving the travelling public," says Lukacs, founder of Air Passenger Rights, a Halifa...

Re: Woman brings emotional support SQUIRREL on flight.
We need a war. That’ll straighten all these pussies out. Give them a common, societal goal. Everyone involved with WW2 was too busy blastin’ nazis or working on the war effort to get offended about Merry Christmas and transgendered pronouns.

Re: C series
Korean want ETOPS for the A220. They probably want it because three out of four sides of that country is water. Five bucks we will finally see YHZ-YYC year round service with a C series. Canada also has 3 of 4 sides with an ocean Settle down there exacto, Canada is also 4800km wider than Korea.

Re: Canada Jetlines
(BTW, I'm left seat now, with a salary that I can afford to eat and send my kids to school, flying corporate). I'm not an ass to fly with, despite my AVCANADA politically incorrect posts, but I'm also not going to feel sorry for some Joe Schmoe or Jane Doe for "not willing to pay a fair price" to f...

Re: The government is concerned...
It's not rocket science...I don't think we need an expensive study to find the problem. I'd be happy to fly for a living if I could afford to! I could have my CPL in a few months if I wanted. So could my Gran. Who cares what you think. You don't have perspective. Let the commercial pilots speak the...

Re: Noisy A320's
You chose to live near an airport, deal with it.
Second, who cares? 201 is almost 30 years old, so who wants to spend north of $10,000 per fin when in about two to three years time they will be pop cans?

WestJet might as well rebrand itself as Canadian
A few months ago I posted that Greg (dont know why he needs an extra G) was a union busting loser and that I didnt understand the need for Swoop. Ive said it before in other discussions off the internet, I dont get the point of Swoop. But now seeing all these new ads for the 787 and the new first cl...

Re: Lion Air 737 MAX 8 Crashes in Indoesia
Anyways...what is the lesson. Perhaps, there is something to be said about learning some more about your aircraft above and beyond what the manufacturer tells you. Not ridiculous minutia but interesting systems knowledge. I suppose it is like the instructor many years ago said when describing the e...

Re: Lion Air 737 MAX 8 Crashes in Indoesia
Maybe planes (especially with sidestick controls) should have a red robust centrally located 3 position switch labeled “Auto L” @ 10 o’clock position, “Auto R” @ 2 o’clock position, and an “Auto Off” @ 6 o’clock position. There should also be 2 green lights below the L and R switch positions. The A...

L1011
Keeping with the theme... The old man used to work ramp, said the L1011 was the best because back in the 80s when AC did their own commissary, if the flight cancelled, the station attendants took the first class meals home. Said L1011 stood for "late ten out of eleven times". He also said it was, fr...

Re: Lion Air 737 MAX 8 Crashes in Indoesia
Lion Air is no longer banned from the EU since 2016.
But that still doesnt change the fact they have a crappy maintenance record and crappy safety record. How do you destroy an airplane that is fresh out of the box?
